Choose your weapon!

This world is on medieval era the age of discovery and invention just begun, very little is known to them outside their kingdom. That’s why the founders of the kingdom made a system that promotes explorer and adventurer to explore the world searching for the mystery of magic and monster as well as new technologies or ideas. For 300 years every 10 years the king sponsor the so called “royal exploration” where all the brave adventurers and various guilds explore the unknown world heading east because the west part is already ocean they gather data about different monsters, places, settlements, ores, materials etc.

Kaito reborn and raised in zone “C” a lawless village located in the southern part of the kingdom that is constantly attacked by monsters and beasts because of the lack of defense wall againts the outside elements. There’s no guards either because the town can’t pay people to guard the perimeter unlike other zone, they don’t have a tax system to provide the needs of the town and its people. That’s why it became lawless the lack of guards makes the desperate people do sort of crimes like petty thief to murder is pretty common.

The village is just consist of log cabins and small huts that the monsters can easily invade and destroy. To provide for the need of kaito when he was young his parents travel to the capital do guild quests and odd jobs. After a while they rumored to get killed while on a hunting mission in the orc country. Kaito is living with his uncle and aunt that take care of him at a young age of 9 his uncle taught him hand to hand combat skills and basic survival skills.

They train fighting small monsters and different animals in the foot of the mountain near their village. He begin to take class e quest at age 10 alone mostly gathering of plants, herbs, fruits hunting some boar snd some edible animals. At the age of 15 he can now defeat all the class e monsters on the mountains foot.

After surviving for 16 years the day that all of the citizen of the kingdom arrives. All citizen of said age will be called in their respective town halls. They will provide them basic equipments like weapons and armors for the young adventurers journey to the capital. Zone “A” from the north the noble zone their equipments are made by the famed blacksmiths guild , Zone “B” the middle class zone equipments is made by the townsfolk blacksmith, Zone “C” the lawless zone the equipments are just the looted equipments of the fallen adventurer picked up by the town hall staff.

The citizen of each zone can now eligible to choose their profession such as merchant, blacksmith, warrior, hunter, wizard, alchemist, miner, swordsman, knights, monk etc. in the capital city magic school.

The magic school system is built by the kingdoms founders  that is going on for 300 years after the adventurers are finished studying. They are now have a better chance to survive the royal exploration sponsored by the king. That held every 10 years it is a major exploration that is attended by thousands of adventurers around the kingdom various guilds, opportunistic adventurers, it can turn their lives upsidedown and became rich and famous or the opposite.

They will travel and explore the unknown parts of the world going to the east but its not just walk in the park monsters, beasts and criminals such as bandits, slave trader, thieves etc. make it difficult only 5% of the adventurer made it back alive and much of them just turn back because of trauma to the things the saw in the exploration.

~On the present day.

The town chief called all the qualified citizen to the guilds town hall on the “mallet” town. The zone c area composed of about 20,000 residents with different village and towns they mostly occupied the southern part of the kingdom.

Kaito’s village located 5 kilometer away from the said town so he needs to travel dangerous road to get there his uncle suggest he will escort him but kaito refused.

Kaito: Its okay uncle i’m going with my friend gaijin.

Uncle: If you say so just be careful anything can happen to you in the open world.

Kaito: Yes uncle we will be careful i will apply what i learn from you.

*kaito leaves the house and meet his friend*

Kaito: *saw gaijin at the entrance gate* hey gaijin! Sorry i take too long.

Gaijin: thats okay im just excited to go out. I cant even sleep well last night because i cant decide what weapon i will be choosing. *laughs*

Kaito: Yeah right me too and if we got lucky enough to find and enter the magic school we will decide what profession we’re gonna take too. *thrilled*

Gaijin: But that is legendary school we are talking about. Some old timers in the village don’t even know it exist.

Kaito: I dont think the village elder is just making up stories we will find out if we get there. First we need to get to the mallet town and pick up our weapon first!

*the two young adventurer starts their journey to the mallet town*

They walk about an hour and notice something is stalking them. When the turn around they’re shocked its a white tiger bear. A class d+ monster that is rarely seen outside its natural habitat on the mountain range far away from their path to the town.

Kaito: We’re already in big trouble an hour on our journey. *sweating* i dont think we can fight that thing let’s just face it and walk backwards slowly.

Gaijin: *shaking* okay this is the first time i saw it up close, i only read it on books. It looks so huge and scary in real life.

~The white tiger bear apperance is white bear with a black tiger stripes. It is known by its powerful claw and jaw that can easily break bones and can even chew skull. Its 4 meter in height, 7 meter when standing. Weighing about 1000 kilograms or more.

They begin to walk slowly facing the monster but it picked up pace and charge towards them going to attack.

Kaito: Gaijin let’s run on zigzag pattern!

Gaijin: *cant move because of fear* i can’t its too fast and can even climb trees.

Kaito: just move your feet or you will gonna die.

Gaijin starts to run but its too late the white tiger bear close its distance and begin to slam gaijin its sharp claws.

Kaito: *rush toward gaijin* Protect your head curl like a ball!

Kaito begins to punch and kick the monster but it dont stop attacking gaijin. Kaito pick up rocks and start smashing it to the monster but its too late it already bite gaijin on the ribs blood spatter all over his body.

Then somebody heard them screaming and struggling so it fire an arrow 5 times to the monsters back while kaito can’t  to anything to stop the thing.

After a moment the monster finally stops and gaijin takes too much damage and now losing blood.

The mysterious archer jumps down from the trees and patch up gaijin to stop the bleeding.

Kaito: Are you the one who save us thank you.

Archer: you two dont even have a makeshifts weapon or supply traveling this dangerous road!? Are you guys newbies? *frustrated*

Kaito: *stattering* ye.. yeah we just got out of the village and on our way to the town to pick up our weapon.

Gaijin: thank you onee-san for saving my life.

Archer: dont speak you will run out of blood if your wounds opened. Let’s carry him to the town.

Kaito: *saw her face* thank you for helping us i didn't know you're a girl because of the your hood. Can i know your name miss?

*they begin to carry gaijin and starts walking to the town*

Archer: I’m yskaela or just yska. I’m actually a hunter from the mountain village.

Kaito: Oh so thats why you looks like an experience adventurer you already have a weapon.

Yska: yeah pretty much because we hunt our food in the mountain to survive and make a living by selling the monster material on the town.

Kaito: Monster material? By the way is that monster dead? If he starts moving we’re doomed.

Yska: Too many questions at once huh, that’s why i hate getting around with newbies. *sigh* Monster material “mats” in short. Its the useful parts of the monsters that can turn to different kind of products like weapon, armor, clothing etc. That monster is not dead yet i want to harvest it but your friend is dying and needed help asap. I just shoot it with my poison arrow hope 5 arrows can kill it or it will be unable to move for a day atleast.

Kaito: *surprised* You sure knowledgeable so that’s why my uncle keeps hacking the monster we kill. By the way are you going to mallet town too? I can do this on my own now im sure its not that far away.

Yska: yeah im going to the town to sell the mats i collect in the mountain and proceed to the capital city. If i let you and you two die i cant sleep a night knowing i let newbies like you to die when i can help.

Kaito: You’re so understandable for you’re age girls in our village still playing like kids and so afraid to get out. While you the opposite you travel alone and already making a living.

Yska: Life with the hunters and rangers in the mountain is not the same on like yours you know.
