Chapter 27:

Master of stick

Hacker Class

Alden gripped his dagger and charged toward the level 7 tank. The metal monster swung it's blade wildly, forcing him to leap back.

"How do I get rid of this damned monster?" Questioned Alden.

The monster was like a tornado, destroying all that stood in its way. Alden could barely get close enough to do any real damage to it.

"Fine, you force me to use my ultimate weapon, " Alden said summoning a silver staff in his hand.

He pointed his point at the tank and waited for it to attack. It swing its massive sword and Alden ducked, allowing it to pass over his head.

Alden than stabbed his staff into the torso of the tank, like a spear.

The staff tore through the air and a blue glow lit it's surface as Aldens STAFF TECHNIQUE (lv 1) activated.

The staff sent the tank stumbling backwards and Alden didn't waste that opening he had gotten himself. He began launching multiple attacks on the same spot, cooking up a fury of attacks.

After the barrage of attacks, the tank fell back into the ground as it lost it's balance. The tank grunted as it struggled to get up and Alden cautiously kept his distance, ready to strike at the next opening.

Alden squinted his eyes and confirmed that his attacks had caused a crack in the tanks armour.

"Finally, some progress, " The tank muttered to himself.

The tank growled, the glow in it's eyes growing more intense as if it were enraged.

It charged towards him, it's blade ready to tear him apart.

The tank swung madly, Alden avoided each strike expertly while throwing in a few small attacks when he could.

Suddenly the tank swung it's sword, and Alden realised that he could not avoid it's attack.

"oh sh-" Alden said lifting his sword to deflect the attack . Alden flew a few metres away from the impact of the attack. He crashed through piles of moon metals, rolling on the ground like a ragdoll as he went.

The pain gave birth to anger and Aldens brows furrowed.

"Ahhhh!" Alden yelled as he charged towards the tank, he slid through the tanks legs and swung his staff at its legs. The tank spun around and swung it's sword at his head, and Alden ducked, avoiding the attack.

Alden waited patiently for a big enough opening so he could launch an attack big enough to drop the tank.

"there! " Alden thought after the tank swung it's sword with so much force it got stuck within the ground.

[GRAVITY] activated and Aldens staff went flying toward the tanks neck. Alden had grown proficient in using the skill and so, he could use the gravity more flexibly.

The staff which was now more heavy, smashed through the tank, finally finishing it. The same yellow light from killing the other tanks shone when he struck it, finally dropping the Tank.

Alden sat on the body of the tank and caught his breath. Fighting that tank had taken much out of him. He was exhausted.

Alden picked up his staff and began moving deeper into the dungeon.

Since he had a skill that helped enhance his abilities when using any type of staff, Alden made sure to make use of that.

He got himself a staff that was pretty durable and it cost him a bit of cash.

Alden moved deeper into the dungeon, and the few tanks he found were much too weak to do him much damage.

Alden was puzzled since he expected to find more powerful Tanks the further he got into the dungeon.

After dispatching another tank, Alden neared the mountain and discovered that it wasn't any mountain.

It was a mountain of moon metal.

Near the mountain was a giant forge, in it were massive angry red flames and from the flames, tanks could be seen emerging.

The forge itself was bigger than a house so at least 4 or 5 tanks emerged from it at a time.

Before the forge, stood a Tank. He stood as tall as the other tanks, and armour covered his body, leaving no gap.

The tank turned around and Alden watched it cautiously as it placed it's hands behind its back and walked toward him.

Aldens [STAFF TECHNIQUE] activated and he readied himself for an attack.

"Human, " The tank said, it's voice sounding deep and muffled. "I did not expect you to make it this far."

Aldens eyes widened with surprise. That piece of junk could speak?
