Hopes and dreams

~The caravan starts to leave the town at 7 am in the morning.

Commander Wasp: just follow the caravan and stay on high alert! Dont dilly dally or you will get killed specially the newbies! We will take a rest at the signal of the horn every 3 hours of walk to rest for 15 mins to eat and regain energy. Any slacker or dead weight will be left behind! We will arrive at the capital city in 2 days. Understood?!

Everyone: sir! Yes sir!

Kaito: man the commander is really strict. *laughs* this is my first time traveling such distance.

Akim: yeah me too i think its a good way to train our body and stamina too. I heard in the magic school they have a deadly training so we need to prepare ourselves. *laughs*

Kaito: is that even allowed? I also heard the magic school is dangerous but i didnt expect its on the training.

Akim: i guess we will just find it out when we get there. But we are talking about learning magic here. I saw only 1 man that have magic my entire life.

Kaito: *surprised* woah really? What kind of magic he got?

Akim: So you’re aware of different types of magic too huh. I saw some elemental magic they say its quite common type though. He uses fire magic to roast a whole boar with fire came out of his hands. He said he didnt use magic often because if people saw him using magic they might go after him. I just encounter him in the woods one day while im out doing gathering quest and eat with him.

Kaito: *amused* what an experience i never saw magic user before. I hope we saw one in the capital city im sure there plenty of magic user there.

Akim: yeah thats the hotspot of the guilds and all proffesional go there at some point. Not to mention fiery city girls waiting for us. *heart eyes*

Kaito: uhmm i dont think the city girls will just fall for us from the boonies.

*They laughs*

Akim: we might be from zone c but there some ladies that dont look at the status or appearance. We just need to find the right one.

Kaito: yeah but its kinda one in a million type you know. Adventurer from zone a and b will be at the capital too thats whats all the people waiting. The prince or princess of their royal household or the middle-class aristocrat that is next in line for their family business. While we are basically starting from rock bottom. *laughs*

Akim: you just crushed my dream! *laughs* but you’re right we just need to get around those spoiled guys anyway. We got street smart and from the rough and tough neighborhood. We lived basically in the monster territory and risk our lives everyday. There’s so much different between us and those pampered guys. We will proved all of that in the magic school! *determined*

Kaito: *laughs* nice speech akim maybe you’re right let’s just show them what we’re made of in the magic school, and hope they dont have special treatment like on the comics.

The caravan runs smoothly the front unit deals all the monster on the path and the adventurers behind them takes up the mats if its monster, if its edible animal it goes to the guards supply. 3 hours got passed and the horn signal is played. *trumpet horn* all the adventurer stop at their tracks and begin to rest. Some hunt food, some just buys on the merchants, some just rest and lay on the grass.

Kaito: wohoo finally a rest. Do you have some food akim?

Akim: nope i just got water.

Kaito: *laughs* me too lets hunt some while we’re at a stop over.

Since people are not frequently travel the road theres plenty of edible animal that they can hunt from the vicinity like wild boar, deer, duck, oxen, rabbit etc. there’s plenty of fruits and vegetables too in the overgrown forest.

~Kaito and akim hunts a wild boar since akim got longer weapon a pike he easily caught it by throwing the spear on its neck.

Kaito: *amused* woah you’re very proficient with the pike you got it with one strike! Im just thinking of chasing it with my mace and hit it in the head.

Akim: yeah i pretty much get used of hunting boar since its the frequent quest im getting. When i still dont have weapon i use some sharpen bamboo to hunt them. I use the wild boar because its easy to be targeted and dont care much on its surroundings when eating. *laughs*

Kaito: i thought so! My uncle teach that to me too but we’re using just barehand. *laughs*

Akim: *surprised* what!? Really? How can you guys do that?

Kaito: same concept as yours you just need to hit it hard enough on its neck spine. It will get unconscious snd you can just tie its feet and drag it home. *laughs* its a good training too.

Akim: woah its sounds like a hunters gatherers training to me.

*they laughs*

They starts to cut the wild boar and starting to cook it.

Kaito: wait how can we cook it to you got a match?

*while eating*

Akim: yes ofcourse its a adventurer essential too you know. Fire is one of our basic needs thats why elemental magic user is so useful in the exploration.

Kaito: *thrilled* now you mention it i just got a head canon about what traveling with magic user are like. They should be able to fight monsters easily.

Akim: yeah monster on this area you know monster are stronger when you go further. Thats why in a hundred years of magic user existence we didnt really know enough about whats outside our kingdom, only the higher ups and the explorers new about that information.

Kaito: thats why i want to join the royal exploration too the mystery of this world keeps my blood alive.

Akim: yeah everybody feels the same fame fortune and power is out there. Waiting to be discover and we will risk our lives to see it.

Kaito: so are you going to the royal exploration too right? For ladies again i guess?

*they finish eating*

Akim: *laughs* i got some dreams too you know. I want to find the finest smoking herbs out there. *smokes on his kiseru pipe* and ofcourse saw different kind of ladies too. *laughs* what about you kaito?

Kaito: hmm i see if i just be honest i want to be a class “S” adventurer and form my own guild and travel the world.

Akim: *surprised* woah thats a very “high” dream i guess i will be part of your guild someday because to form a guild you must be atleast class “A” adventurer to be approved of the guild and to be trusted of your guildmen lives.

Kaito: *laughs* you really want to join me? We just started from the bottom 3 hours earlier. Yeah thats a very big dream thats why i need to get stronger you see. I’m actually traveling with my friend when we leave our village. If we’re so helpless when the white tiger bear attack us and my friend got injured. He’s on the hospital right now i have to leave him and travel alone. I bet you and him will be good friends because you basically saying the same thing. *laughs*

Akim: oww I’m felt sorry for your friend. But the white tiger bear you two draw a bad card that day. Only class c and up adventurers can defeat that monster just be glad you two survive.

Kaito: yeah we just survive because a girl our age save us with her poison arrow and shes traveling alone.

Akim: *surprised* an brave archer girl huh i like to meet young lady like that.

*the trumpet horns*

Kaito: hmm i guess we’re gonna continue traveling again! *stretching*

Akim: alright! Capital city we’re on the way!
