This is a story about the high schooler named Suzuki Makoto. He's a fifteen year old freshman at his high school, Akiyama High. He's the kind of person who can't really say no to anyone, so he has some trouble getting into clubs at his school and such. He also has trouble with bravery. Not just to say no, but also to ask someone something. For example, there's a girl named Asahina Yui with green eyes at his school who he really likes, but he's never been able to tell her how he feels, because he thinks she might laugh at him. His parents also want him to get good grades so he can get into a good university, so he's not sure if they would be OK with him having too many friends, or a love interest. In other words, he has a lot of doubt about some things. However, he's always wanted to learn karate, a common martial art. But he never thought that one day, he would have no choice but to learn karate and, in fact, learn more than just karate. Also learn other martial arts, like kung-fu. And have to learn...
