Dragonborn Arc | Chapter 1: "Mystical Beast"

"It's freezing but the map says the beast should be at the top of this mountain. Hope the crazy old man wasn't lying."

A couple hours ago

"Hahahahahahaha so you want to make yourself a legend. My visions show that you will establish yourself as a legendary general. What more could you want?" The seer retorted. His face was deformed along with his body. He was hunched over. He is blind and wears a dark black cloak that covers most of his facial deformities. 

“I hope that old coot was right about that beast being up on this mountain. But damn it's cold I can barely stand it.” It's like a blizzard out I can barely see 2 feet in front of me. I look up as I see fire burst from the foggy snow. I instinctively dodge, barely making it in time. 

“Who dares disturb my slumber?” The voice echoes in a loud deep voice. I froze from the voice. The snow clears as I get a good look at the beast. Its rock-hard scales glisten from the firelight. It flaps its wings blowing the snow around it. Its wings look damaged. 

“Foolish mortal, how dare you disturb my slumber. You think you can take me down.”

“What exactly are you? I ask in a shaky voice.” 

“I come from the most esteemed dragon clan. I was in a battle when I was mysteriously transported to these lands. Now tell me, are you here to slay me?” 

I take a deep breath. “That was the plan, but I don't know if I can.” 

“*Laughs* I would be worried as well. This fight will not be a simple task. Now are you ready? You foolish mortal.”
