This is a spin-off novel depicting events set before the events of Necromancer King. This story follows a dwarf named Ragnar. We follow him on his journey to become a war hero. On his journey, Ragnar encounters a legendary beast of folk tales from his hometown. He becomes one of the first known slayers of this beast. We also see Ragnar fight in many battles establishing himself as a legendary warrior.
