A short break and shopping

I gave my weapons for repair to Yunaris san. He always works in a corner quietly. But today he seemed happy somehow.

When I asked the reason, he said that they were able to fully repay their debt and the shop was fully owned by both Yunaris san and Nyxia san.

Seems like they had a joint ownership of the shop. And here I thought that Nyxia san had snatched it from him.

So maybe their relationship might not be that toxic.

I then went to the Ghalia forest again. Both Cucuma herb and mana mushrooms were plenty in that forest.

So the Ghalia forest was the best for my quests. But today I decided not to pursue goblins vigorously and just kill them if they appear.

By noon, I finished collecting 25 Cucuma herbs, 30 mana mushrooms and also killed 10 rabbits.

As for goblins, today they seemed sparse so I could only kill 12 of them. Other than that I also collected some fruits.

After yesterday’s killings my level had reached 7 and it reached 8 today. Talking about levels, I saw that the kids at orphanage are around level 5.

Did they kill so many monsters at such a young age, or is it that level rise with age too. I will have to see.

But why was that, even though I am 17 years old but I started from level 1. Maybe my body was sent by goddess.

So that means this body is a new personal body made for me by the goddess. So I was not born from reproduction.

Maybe I am like those dungeon generated monsters born out of mana. I hope I don’t have a mana stone inside me.

After having lunch, I decided to go back. For some reason I was not feeling good today.

There were thick black clouds in the sky, so it was not good to go in the forest in rain. So I returned to the city and decided to submit my quest.

I avoided the guild employee at the material submission center to whom I talked yesterday.

That was because he may pursue yesterday’s report but I want that to be slid under the rug as quietly as possible.

I don’t want people making fuss about an F rank adventurer killing over 50 goblins in 2 days.

After getting my reward, I exit the guild. I have 5 rabbits for the orphanage today.

The other 5, I gave to Tina san as gift, as she always help me. She accepted it easily. She is a wolf beastman afterall.

Let’s also buy some sweets for Lily to cheer her up, since now I have money on hand.

Speaking of sweets there was another person who I had promised to buy ice cream for. Yes Milli chan, the daughter at the Honey bear den inn.

I went to Moomoo bakery and bought some ice cream and parfait. Maybe I should buy something for sisters and all the children at the orphanage too.

So I decided to buy a 5 big fruit cake that could be distributed between all the children and sisters. I spent 40 silver in total. But that much is still in my capacity.

I returned to the orphanage and we had a big party with all the children and the sisters.

All of them were very happy and enjoyed a lot. We even had roasted rabbits and fruits that I brought.

Lily too became a little cheerful after enjoying delicious dishes. But I made sure to save some parfait especially for her to give her in night.

I then went to Honey bear den inn and met Milli chan and Martha san (her mother).

Both of them were very happy to see me. Milli chan even hugged me in front of her mother.

But after an ‘Ara~ Ara~’ comment from her mother, she became embarrassed and ran away.

After talking to the Mama and daughter bear, I gave them ice cream and parfait.

Milli chan was delighted and Martha san too seemed happy. Martha served some snacks and tea.

After enjoying tea with them, I left the inn and decided to go to the Syndell.

The time was 4 pm when I reached the Syndell. There were only a few people here today.

Seems like most people visit the Syndell during the prayer time.

But there were some people sitting on the benches in the center of praying chamber. I also sat at one of the benches at the back.

Today since the hymns were not being sung yet so the atmosphere was not that soothing. But it was still spiritual and calm here.

Seems like the best time to visit here would be during the prayer. The main fat priest who gave sermon last time, was also not present here.

I closed my eyes and meditate for some time. But there was no transcending experience this time.

Maybe that was because I was expecting it to happen. From what I have heard expectation is quite a big hindrance in mediation.

After an hour, I decided to take a walk in the Syndell. Maybe I would be able to see the High elf again today.

After visiting every chamber and praying to the gods in them I went to the main hall again.

This time I decided see what was happening in the rooms that had a priest or a sister standing in front of them.

After I asked a sister in front of a room, she told that the rooms were for private ceremonies arranged for people who request it.

These may be appraisal ceremonies, baptism ceremonies, confessions etc. The Syndell also provide healing and purifying services.

They also cure curses and such. Of course everything needs a donation. And there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s not like priests or sister run on air. They too need food.

There is a separate entrance for the people coming to get cured at the side of the Syndell.

I peeked from outside and there was a hall with various beds for patients and curtains for their privacy.

There were a lot of sisters and priests sitting on tables talking to patients that were coming and going.

There were also room for serious patients and may be cursed patients too.

There were not many patients at present, just some old people and children, maybe suffering from common cold or something.

After I scanned them to see if the stats become lower for sick people, I found out that they do decrease.

I also saw a priest performing healing magic from afar and the stats started rising again.

After that I gave a peek into other private rooms but most of them were either empty or had closed door to prevent anyone from seeing inside.

I wished to see appraisal ceremony but such a thing must be conducted in private I suppose.

I then left the Syndell and decided to go for some shopping. In the end I could not see the High elf today.

From there I went to the adventurer’s district to go to the magic tool shop. I wanted to see if there was any useful magic tool available and see if it was affordable.

I also wanted to see if there was any magic wand available and check its price.

Entering the Hermit’s Heritage (H&H) magic tool shop I was met with the same good looking clerk of the shop.

He gave me an elegant bow and welcomed me in. I also gave a bow and said hello.

I then went around the shop to look at the displayed magic tools. Last time I came here my, scan was not that good.

But this time I can know a lot more about the tools just by looking at them. Moreover I also have a general idea of how they work and what to expect from them.

I want a magic wand if possible just to try magic as soon as I can.

Its not like I will stop doing my ancient magic training or I will start relying on the wand completely.

I will ofcourse continue my training in ancient technique and master mana manipulation, attribute transformation as well as control.

But it does not hurt to have some extra fire power beforehand.

I also need to find out about my attribute if possible

There are various types of magic tools here, but I think it would be better to ask the clerk.

Otherwise I would just spend the whole day here just looking at various cool tools.

After looking for some time, I asked the clerk if there were magic wands available.

He then told me that although they had some, but there was another store under same company dedicated to magic wands, scrolls, grimores and other stuff related to mages.

He suggested that it would be better to visit that store and wrote directions to reach the shop for me.

The shop was situated in the business district.

Saying good bye and thank you to the clerk, I went to the mage shop in the business district.

Apparently the company which owned both these shop was called Hermit heritage and they had a stylish HH as their logo of course the alphabets were in common language.

According to the clerk the company had its headquarters in the capital city Neopatra of this country of Neopatras.

The company has its business spread across this country and even have few branches in other four countries of Meru alliance (five allied countries that follow teachings of Sage Meru).

I reached the Mage shop of HH after asking some shopkeepers.

The shop was as big as their magic tool shop.

I entered the shop and was welcomed by a smart lady clerk wearing a black jacket and skirt similar to office ladies.

She also had elliptical glasses that further increased her cool vibes.

I told the lady that I wanted to buy magic wand and also look at other things as well.

She then respectfully guided me to inside and stopped near a section where a lot of wands were displayed on the wall behind the counter.

There was another clerk lady here. The one with me told the other lady to show me wands I wanted and went away.

Looks like that was the manager or the head clerk lady here.

Then I was asked what specific types I was looking for. I told her that I wanted something useful for long range attacks that did not attaract much attention.

She then asked me what grade of wand I was looking for and I told her that I wanted something that could atleast one shot a goblin.

She nodded and started taking out various boxes from down the counter.

Meanwhile I was appraising the wands displayed on the wall. Those were some exceptional products hanging there. I am sure they are way beyond my budget.

The clerk then told that the wands that could fulfill my requirements were either earth attribute wands like rock bullet, rock spear or rock javeline spell or fire system wand but that was more conspicuous.

There were more options available in high end wands but for now, I want to try the basic ones first.

Agreeing to her suggestion, I told her that I would go with the rock system type wand.

She then told me that there were various kinds for them available and showed it to me.

Some had only single type spell engraved in them and others had multiple type.

They also differed in the efficiency of the mana conversion, grade of mana stone embedded, activation time, activation spell length etc.
