Masuki and Sachi

"Hey Nero, have you fully adjusted to living in this new world?"

"Eh, I have pretty much gotten used to it, though I guess at times I wonder if this is still a good place for us to be."

"Masuki, you hear that?"

"Yeah, I wonder what that was.."

Me and Masuki turn around to see what looks like the form of a goddness standing right next to us. She was glowing and beaming with such heavenly light, that it was almost blinding in a way. She stood tall, looking at both of us, smiling at us warmly.

"Hello there my children, I'm the goddess of this realm, my name is Karin Ochisuki."

Masuki was the first one to say anything to this heavenly thing standing before us.

"A-Are you here to give us some kind of guidance?"

"Yes my child, I'm here to tell you that you both need to start training to stay strong and fight against the enemy. There will come a time when you two alone cannot defeat a strong beast. You need to learn how to make friends with people around you, and start building trust for people."

That last part of the sentiment throws me off. Trust? How can I trust anyone after the people I thought were my family tried to kill my sister?

"Ms.Karin, It seems you asking a lot of me to do with this information. I'm not big on wanting to trust people or make any new 'friends' at that. All I need is my sister."

"I understand how you feel about people, and that your trust runs very thin with people, but I need you to hear my warning and understand what I am asking of you, my child."

"...Alright, I'll trust you because you have been doing your best to watch over me and my sister."

After that, Karin disappeared and the light around us vanished like nothing happened. Seems to be that only me and Masuki can see her, which is a good thing. I wouldn't want my guardian angel to be anyone else's. We walked back inside the school building, just thinking about what Karin said

Making new friends huh? I never would have even considered doing that, but I guess it never hurts to try new things out.

We walked back into our magic control class like nothing happened. Since there are many different kinds of students in this class, they sit us based on a power scaling. I sit in the front of the class with all of the strongest magic users in my class. My sister is in the 3rd row with all the advanced users. I noticed she was talking a lot with this girl who sat next to her, so I walked up and went to see what they were talking about.

"Oh, hey big brother, you okay?"

"Oh, I'm okay Masuki, Just checking on you is all. Who's your friend?"

I set this up perfectly to find out who this girl is, she looks about my age.

"Masuki-chan, your brother is pretty cute."

She giggles while saying that, which kind of makes me flustered since this is the first girl other than my sister to compliment me. I started to blush a bit but I looked away from the both of them so they didn't see it, My sister noticed me though, and didn't like my expression.

"Heyy, cut that out Sachi-senpai. That's my brother you're talking about."

Masuki looks super red, this is something new that I'm seeing from her.

"My apologies, I'm Sachi Tengajoto, I'm 17 and I'm also a 3rd year!"

Very energetic, I kind of like that energy.

" Nice to meet you Tengajoto-san, I'm Nero Toujo, I just turned 17 and I'm also a 3rd-year student like you."

"No need to use my last name, just call me Sachi like everyone else does, okay?"

"O-okay, if that's what you want."

"I hope we can be friends, Your sister is adorable and I love talking with her!"

Wait, is this the kind of situation that Karin said would happen? Gaining more friends would be better she said, so yeah I think I'll be friends with her.

"Sure, that'd be nice to have some friends."
