Chapter 23:

Part 23: Greatest Loss

StarSpace: Tales Of The Time Keeper

“Welcome, newcomer. You seem a bit… fazed.”

It was as if everything I started to see came out of nowhere. I was searching around for any noticeable traces but the environment was large and seemed to mirror my thoughts in a way I couldn’t even distinguish or describe. How unusual.

Turning to look at the figure that spoke to me, it seemed to be a distorted almost transparent entity with a bubbly appearance more fluid than water itself. It transformed into my form but with a set of ten surrounding me.

“Who are you? What is this place of trickery?”

The mysterious entity didn’t say anything.

“How did I end up here?”

Still no response. This entity was already reminding me of Prism. Its dismissive and unbending nature was suspicious. The only difference is the place it resided in seemed to be becoming more expansive beyond comprehension.

“Must be nice experiencing a false existence.”

“Are you trying to play me for a fool, creature?”

“You do that well enough for yourself.”

“And you haven’t told me where I am.”

“The Infinite Dimension. It is the oldest space of all existence. I’ve watched and known about every single past, present, and future because of this dimension. No thing can go past it. All that does is reveal more growing space. There is no end as of late. As you can probably tell, I have always been here.”

“Always? You are saying you have no point of origin.”

“I never began and I never ended.”

“What does that make you?”

“Imperceptible.”

Imperceptible? That couldn’t be right if I was able to sense its entire being at the current moment.

“That doesn’t make sense. I can to some degree perceive you. Sure you may shape-shift as I do but—“

“I’ve done more than you could ever hope to be.”

“Do you really have to monologue?”

“I can do whatever I please. As for you, the reason you’re here is because that girl of yours shifted you into this space thanks to the power she holds. She doesn’t know you’re here though.”

“What happened?”

“Chaos. Or at least that’s what you’ve thought it to be. You’ve given it another hysterical name. Chaosity.”

“You know of it?”

“It is The Lucid Light. A tool of creation from where The Senses originate. The Void you’ve known is formed by it as well. That is called the Lucid Darkness.”

Fascinating. Perhaps if it knows everything, it can tell me my true future. For a long time I’ve pondered that… Still I don’t necessarily see how it is The Imperceptible.

“Okay. While we are discussing such things—“

“I already know everything you’ll say.”

“Really?”

“Yes. Let’s start at the beginning of your inquiries.”
