Chapter 28:

Part 28: Cataclysmic Conflict

StarSpace: Tales Of The Time Keeper

“Sapphirion, you are right. Something doesn’t work about all of this.”

“What are you referring to exactly?”

“Don’t you find it strange that The Imperceptible is talking about our demise when it created the lore for Omnikra? Almost as if, it wants us to believe something we shouldn’t be.”

Sapphirion turned back around with me as we stared straight at The Imperceptible who still wasn’t saying anything. Something about what it told me ever since I met it ended up feeling suspicious. It was hoping I would trust it too much just because it knew what I was thinking. That was the problem. I was starting to realize that there were some contradictions behind everything it was saying.

Adding to the original lore Prism told us. Telling me that Omnikra was The New Guardian. Mentioning a falsely established reason as to why The Omniverse was operating the way it did while piling it on top of what I already knew about Prism. Picking apart what was true and what wasn’t could only be determined based on identifying that cohesive growth alone. It was pulling an act.

“Imperceptible, you have much explaining to do. The implications of your actions are worthy of punishment. Even in the consideration of this Infinite Dimension, making us think Styra would accidentally send us here is beyond stupidity. All of what has been happening here is your doing.”

As I said this, The Imperceptible flew before us. Its form switched into that of an apeirogon as it finally spoke again.

“You fail to see that this space contains all imperceptible endings. That includes this space which contains all without retaining a desired form of its own. Everything in here is extensive and bends to one’s perception of every constructed and deconstructed interpretation of everything. The Omniverse you reside in is small in comparison to this dimension which works in ways one cannot fathom or attempt to explain. For this is the space where every continuity imaginable is built and destroyed to the point of chaos. I simply tear the very confines of myself to rebuild my ever changing identity of identities. I am the two of you right now as it stands. I am Prism. I am… everything.”

So the truth was finally revealed. I was right to the point where I wasn’t. The Imperceptible made Prism lie to us. Our Omniverse created by The First Creator was not the largest at all and did not contain every existence. It was the ploy to a much greater scheme. This thing had no single character arc. It was driving all of them including my own with ease. It was unsettling. I didn’t want this anymore.

“If you control everything that I am then there is no point for me to exist. I am not here to be your little puppet being put on for show as to amuse you. Everything I did, to me, had weight. All of the pain of being lied to. You take my value for granted.”

Sapphirion began to stop me as I summoned The Time Axe.

“Amethion, do not do that to yourself. As much as Prism has sent us through, we cannot cower to its foretelling. It said your demise was here, but it doesn’t have to be. Neither does mine. We must work together to destroy this Imperceptible. We cannot let it make us believe more lies. Isn’t that right, Heptarion Commander?”

I wasn’t going to fall for it. Demise or not, I didn’t care if it was going to be right. This in itself wasn’t right.

“Stop it Imperceptible. I know Sapphirion is being used. Toying around with me won’t work.”

Sapphirion began to get mad, but I didn’t care. The Time Axe had no Eternal Light in it, but by itself, its strength was still intact. Enough to end myself since it was also created by The Void. Just as I was ready to use it, Sapphirion put his hand on my shoulder.

“Listen! I am not with it! You said you didn’t want to be its puppet. Then stop holding onto those strings. We can cut them. Every reality inside and outside of our Omniverse at this point, depends on it. I will stand by your side when Prism attests to your judgment. I may not be fond of what you did, but we are not rivals. We share one trait with our brothers and sisters that goes beyond physical appearance and traditions. That trait is a lineage of respect for what we choose to be. Find the time to find who you really are, Amethion. No one will know that better than yourself.”

I started to doubt my own feelings at first, but those words were coming from someone who cared as much about our Omniverse more than I ever could. He was always somehow tougher than me. I needed that. Sapphirion, thank you. When Styra was ready to give up at Brightbay Beach, I nearly thought the same. You could think that allowing death to occur in that moment would justify hopelessness is inevitable. The thing you’ve felt time and time again. The truth is, you experienced meaninglessness because you didn’t choose to give it true value. Don’t ignore yourself because you are not the spitting image of perfection or misery for the sake of others.

To Styra, your life was filled with sorrow and the only one who can stop it is you. Behind the facade of The Imperceptible who is entertained by this inevitability of death, is something that doesn’t care about your potential. When everything is against you, don’t cower to death’s open door.

“Alright. Let’s battle for time and space.”
