Chapter 45:

Conquerer

Hacker Class

Had he gotten stronger. even as he sat in his dungeon, with the light from the red moon reflecting off the millions of metal lying around his dungeon, even as he felt power Coursing through his veins, even so, he felt weak. That was what ran through his mind as he sat within his domain. Alden gazed around the dungeon thoughtfully as he went through all he had gotten in the monthly Dungeon mission. Alden had a staggering 150 points in total. He wasn't sure how to invest his points, he pondered hard over it. Very soon he had made up his mind.

"I'm a puppeteer, so I should have a high energy level." Alden thought to himself. But with his stats he was easily an A-Class puppeteer. He had enough energy to produce a hundred strong army of puppets. His puppeteer ability however, would be used less with his new skill. It was a skill that made up for his mindless puppets, now he could produce as many soldiers as he could, and they were soldiers that did not need to be controlled. No, not the necromancer ability. But it was close.Alden had been wondering how to use his consumable skill, [SKILL COMBINATION] could allow him to combine skills he had acquired. Finally, he discovered a way to use it.Not sure if it was bragging, but Alden was quite intelligent. He had a creative mind that allowed him to think up unique ways of solving situations. It was how he had beat both of his two dungeon missions, and it was how he had gained new skills. Now, he came up with a brilliant plan. What if he copied the necromancer skill, and he wouldn't use it, at least not in the way any other person would. He chose to combine it with his puppeteer ability and his blacksmith ability. Why?By theory, this was what Alden thought. If he combined the necromancer and the puppeteer skill, he'd be able to control his soldiers bodies like a puppet, but he wouldn't really be raising them like "zombies". Instead they'd be just like weapons. Alden saw this as the same way others would use the skin of an animal, or its meat or its bones as weapons or clothing. He too was planning to recycle monsters bodies for use. They were not the living dead. They were dead, for the living. This theory was further strengthened by his blacksmith ability. Since the blacksmith ability helped use dead monsters corpses, cores or body parts as weapons. Adding it would complete the process of transforming the dead monster body into a weapon. Furthermore, it could upgrade the monsters body, making it better then before. For those who argue that it was just a different type of necromancy, Alden had the question. So, if you hunted a monster, or even a normal crocodile, and then used it's skin as a bag when it was dead, or if you had wierd taste, you made it's skin into some biltong which you could eat. Then would it matter to you when you wore that dead crocodile bag over your shoulder? Would that bother you. Would you think to yourself.I am wearing a dead crocodile? No, you are wearing a crocodile skin bag. I'm the same way, Alden was just using a dead crocodiles body as puppet material. that's all there was to it.The necromancy skill just helped the monster retain some sort of sentience and intelligence . That would help him have puppets that weren't too dependent on him.Was it messed up?He didn't know. Maybe Alden was messed up. He just didn't care anymore. He wanted power, and he would do anything to get it. Maybe even kill at this point. He didn't know.He however knew, that he needed to test his ability. That was why, before him, he had the tank bodies.Alden wondered whether it was because the tanks were basically robots, kind of like puppets, that they didn't produce body parts. They were a creation of Mar Kirr, and only he had dropped something useful aside from his body. He had dropped a book. He couldn't read what was on it. it was written in a language he could not understand, but the system told him that it was called "Mar Kirr's hard sought knowledge".Mar Kirr was a man who lived for knowledge, a man who died for it. Or rather a monster. It sort of made sense that the most valuable thing on Mar Kirr was his knowledge, Alden however, couldn't find himself learning it.It was because the book he found was blank.Alden therefore found it to be of no use in present times, but he would keep it and see if there was a hidden way to read it or something.Anyways, he had to test his powers.Alden hadn't picked up the monsters cores the last time he was there, since he was dead tired when he left so the monster cores were still there. The new skill was called Metal Legion(lv 5), and it came with a title. He was called the Metal Sovereign. It was actually the highest ranked skill he had, and he had high hopes for it. Alden activated the skill and watched as the words formed before him.[PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR ACTIVATION PHRASE]"Activation phrase? like how that other guy said awaken or something? What should I choose, Arise?"Alden pondered for a while before choosing."Converge," Alden muttered, his voice loud, and powerful. Nothing reminiscent to that of his old self. This voice was a new one, it was not the voice of an ordinary man, no, it was the voice of an indomitable man. He muttered the final words in a softer tone, so soft it was barely a whisper."And conquer."
