Chapter 46:

New mission

Hacker Class

[METAL NEEDED!]

"Ohhh, I guess that's because of the blacksmith ability." Alden muttered. He threw a few pieces of moon metal there and tried again.

The light appeared again, and Alden waited.

[ERROR!]

[INVALID TARGET!]

"What?!" Alden said, his tone filled with surprise. Alden let out a sigh and kicked the tank body. Maybe it was because the tanks were really nothing more then puppets, robots.

He'd need to find some new target to test his skill on. Alden had nobody at the moment but...

"Maybe Mar Kirr would work!" Alden nearly yelled. Alden immediately glitched over to where Mar Kirr's body lay.

Alden outstretched his hands and muttered again.

"Converge."

It worked. Alden realised he didn't have to say the whole line for it to work, in fact, maybe he'd be able to do without it too. Alden guessed it was like how mages shouted out their spells to concentrate better.

The blue light shone again. It crept unto every part of Mar Kirr's massive figure, until soon it completely covered him, it was like a blue shroud over his body. Soon his body disappeared, and only a blue light was seen. The light grew before slowly fading away.

[METAL SOLDIER CREATED!]

In place of Mar Kirr's huge body was a bigger one. Blue crack like lines lined it's armour, and a light appeared in it's empty eyes.

Mar Kirr flinched and then slowly, the body rose slowly before standing upright. One end of it's giant sword rested on the ground, and it's eyes glowed blue.

MAR KIRR (lv 20)

POSITION: COMMON SOLDIER

"Master, I thank you for taking someone like me under your wing."

Mar Kirr went down unto one knee, his head down.

Alden was a little surprised. It seemed the being had enough intelligence to speak.

"it's fine, get up," Alden said, a curious and hungry glimmer deep within his eyes."I am not a king, no...I am..."

Alden thought deep about what to say, before he finally spoke.

"I am like yourself... someone with ambition," A smile of interest broke his expression of thoughtful curiosity. Yes, this was how his story should begin. His story of power, that is.

~~~
It was by a river, this time.
"What's up with the location of these gates?!" Alden growled, his voice full off annoyance.
He had to go through thorny trees and muddy puddles to get here. Even though he was probably peak S class, with all his stats combined but those thorns hurt.
"All that risking my life only to get scratched by thorns? I'm devastated." Alden said rambling off like a disgruntled football fan.
After a few more grumbles, Alden finally decided to get over the dungeon mission and walked towards the gate that was hidden in a clearing within a bunch of trees.
Alden stumbled into something on his way there.
A dead raven corpse?
Alden was about to step over it when a thought stopped him. Would his power work on normal creatures?
He could try.
Alden held out his hand toward the bird.
"Converge!"
A dark blue light covered the bird, before a notification came up.
[METAL SOLDIER CREATED!]
RAVEN (lv 1)
LEVEL:COMMON SOLDIER
"So it works, the bird looks pretty badass though." Alden knelt down and looked at his raven. It had grown to the size of a small dog, though it was bigger then a cat.
It's eyes were like shiny blue marbles, and cracks trailed from out of it. Those same cracks lined and decorated it's feathers. Blue smoke surrounded it'd body, and it stood still, as if waiting for orders.
Alden could feel a mental connection with the animal, and he could understand what it felt.
"Come on, my little friend," Alden said to the raven.
He turned to face the gate before him.
"We've got an adventure before us."
Alden walked toward the gate before stepping into the liquid like substance. Alden saw the world disappeared, and he reappeared in a rocky underground place.
This was nothing like his previous missions however, because larva could be seen at various places in the dungeon. Rivers and waterfalls of it.
Alden glanced around before checking what dungeon he was in.
[EARTH DRAGON TANK]
"Dragons?"
A loud roar echoed across the caverns, it was from some raging monster.
"How lovely."
