Chapter 242:

Third Epic; Master Of Black Magic

Wolf Bloodline

The third epic, seated on the throne, spoke to us from the shadows in a deep voice. It's like he knew we were coming.

"Warriors, What a surprise. What brings you here?."

I had to talk to him in a stern way to make him realize the gravity of the situation and that we were serious.

"Cut the bullshit, Furon. You know why we're here. You know what's going to happen."

"Oh yeah. I know exactly what's going to happen. But I don't know what to do with you guys afterward."

"I'll tell you what's going to happen. You're going to pay for what you've done." I said.

Furon started a different subject in a meaningless way. We didn't know what his purpose was, but we had to be careful.

"I want you to know that no man accepts what he has done at first - especially if it is bad. At first, I was a seeker of justice like you. But then I realized that you need fear to create what is called justice - just as the fourth said."

Furon suddenly stood up from his throne and approached us with slow steps while continuing his speech.

"I know how much you all have suffered and I agree. I grew up with the same pain as you. I watched a man I considered my brother die. Dark magic could have saved him, but they said it was dangerous. They didn't want to see the truth. I wanted to take control, but they said I was on the wrong path. I have given this power - not them - and I'm sure if it had been given to them, they would have done worse things than I did. That is the true nature of humans."

"Maybe it's you who doesn't want to see the truth. And they wanted to help you, Furon - like a man who was once your friend."

"Stop sickening me with your sweet talk. I'm sure you don't know why you're here - what your real purpose is - what you're fighting for."

"We know why we're here. You're the only one who's confused and uncertain."

"Oh trust me, I'm right where I'm supposed to be."

Furon, with his back, turned to us, suddenly turned to us, and poured his magic power on us. Suddenly Wedan lifted the ice up from the ground, protecting us from the incoming magic. But the ice shattered when it touched the magic.

Furon had such power that with the earth power he used, he not only moved the whole castle but also drove huge sharp rocks from the ground towards us.

Shou was clinging to his sword, trying to get closer to Furon. Wedan was trying to hit Furon with his ice from the right side. But somehow Furon dodged the incoming attacks with a snap of his fingers and ended up behind me.

Before I could realize what was happening, I was hit hard in the abdomen and shattered the rock throne with my back. Apparently, Furon's power was more than two. But if so, how could we stop him?

Furon suddenly used his finger snap again and was about to attack Wedan. But Wedan noticed him at the last moment and managed to cover himself with an ice shield. Furon, with the power of the earth, wrapped the earth in his hand and made a powerful fist. He continued to hit Wedan's shield.

Noticing Shou approaching from the corner, Furon used his magic to push him away. But Shou was faster than him. Seeing that he was getting close to him, Furon used his finger snap to end up behind Shou - grabbing him by the neck and throwing him into another corner.

Wedan attacked again, pulling jagged ice spikes from the ground and unleashing them at Furon. Furon blocked the ice blows with the hard earth he had dug out of the ground by planting his foot hard on the ground. I started shooting at him from the corner with my rifle with poisoned bullets. But he pulled his magic in front of him, making a shield-like barrier for himself.

Furon snapped his fingers and got behind Wedan. But this time Wedan was prepared. He dropped a chunk of ice behind him - about to hit Furon - but Furon realized and dodged.

Thinking that we would never be able to hit him, Shou suddenly appeared. And although he could not stab his sword, he managed to land a punch. When he attacked again with his sword, the sword could only hit the ground on the rising soil. Wedan threw his hands forward, sending ice boxes that were sliding out of his hands to Furon as if they were bullets. But Furon blocked the incoming ice with his magic.

I was moving towards the exposed part of Furon with running steps. As I got down on my knees, Wedan realized what I wanted to do and laid an ice floor under me again. I slid on my knees on the ice and fired at Furon's opening.

However, Furon had put himself in front of me by doing a finger snap - something I increasingly hated. When he was about to give a hard kick, I tried to protect myself from the kick by taking my rifle in front of me. Although I didn't take much damage, the kick caused me to float unsteadily in the air. Shou jumped to my side and supported me with his hands. That way, I had my balance just right.

Taking advantage of this with the gun in my hand, I fired during the time I was floating in the air. Furon tried to block the poisonous bullets with his spells. He stopped the incoming sword blow in the air by grounding his elbow in response to Shou's sword coming from the front. But Wedan, unaware, sneaked up on him and managed to land his ice-wrapped fist on Furon. Furon dropped rocks down the hill to escape from us after the blow.

When he caught us moving away, he used his finger snaps to once again stand in front of us. Even though we were outnumbered three to one, he was quite strong and he was responding to us quite well.
