The revived dream.

They were walking through the grassy fields, which is devoid of light, like a big, black carpet on which they can stand on. The light wind over them looks as if a gentle wave just went by their feet, though the sea was right beside them. The real one, that is. As they were walking down the outskirts of the island.

Ayane, who has found new hope in life, was leading the way to her house, while Kanako was following her, just a couple metres behind.

"Hey. Why were you so eager to save me back then?", she asked out of curiosity.

"I told you before. Human life is precious, and I want them to realise their preciousness."

"Well, If it wasn't me that was on top of the bridge, would you still try to save her?"

"Of course."

Hearing that reply from him, she pouted a bit, "So I am not special?"

She got no reply to that answer, as he gazed at that supermoon, looking down at them.

Getting no reply, she just thought that he ignored her question and started walking away. But he had other plans.

"I think, the fact that it was you and not anybody else was the thing that was special."

Hearing his voice call out to her, she stopped for a second. His philosophy didn't fail to impress her once again. She was amazed.

"Looking back, the fact that it was you out of seven billion people who I saved from ending herself made it so special. One in one billion is a pretty rare probability. I guess you can call it a fateful encounter, nonetheless."

Her eyes sparkled with amazement as she looked back at him. He was beaming positive energy, which was enough to brighten up the surrounding environment around them. Her heart was palpating at rapid speeds as she was experiencing so many emotions in such a short time. His presence was itself overwhelming, in a good sense.

"T-then, to remember this rare event, or you could say, a fateful encounter, take a picture of me under the supermoon, will you?"

As his subject of interest, taking pictures was brought to topic, his enthusiasm increased almost twice as much from before. Looking at his enthusiasm, positivity and in all, his full personality, she started to get influenced by him a little bit. His positive attitude made her think a little positively too, as they snapped their first picture, under the supermoon.

"Hey, seeing how much you love taking pictures, your hobby is photography, right? Well, before that, what is your name? I don't think you have given me your name."

"Oh, I forgot to formally introduce myself. Sorry. I am Kanako. An aspiring photographer. I know it is a hard dream to fulfil , but I am determined to do it."

"Well, you might be able to do it. Anyway, I am Ayane, and I want to be an actress in the future.", said she, with the pain still lingering around on her chest, but she tried to say it like him with a smile. She tried at least, but tears start rolling out of her eyes as this was the dream that was almost going to end her life today.
