Knock-knock!

“Yuka, did we have guest today?” asked Ai.

“Yes! A very special guest!”

I go to the front door and open it.

“Good morning, Nakamura-san! Sorry for today!”

“It’s alright! Where is her, Mirai-san?”

“Yume, in front of you is Nakamura Yuka, a person who with you before.”

“Really!! Yuka-neechan, are you there?”

“Yes!”

I hugged her tightly as I really missed her.

“Yuka, who is the guest? Wait, Mirai-san? What are you doing here?”

Ai suddenly comes to the front door. Maybe she is curious about what I have been doing for so long here.

“Do you know him, Ai?”

“Of course! He was in our class when we were in high school. We also have passes with each other at university, right?”

“Yes. Wakamiya-san and I are studying in same university. I need to go now by the way! Please take care of my sister,” Mirai-san said as he hurriedly wants to go to the class now.

“Alright! Leave it to us!”

After he left, I brought Yume-chan to our living room. For the first, Ai introduces herself to Yume-chan. Without knowing, both become closer suddenly. We would like to bring Yume go to shopping mall but I afraid Mirai-san will be angry with us. So, we decided to play in the house only. There are many games we play. After play, Ai cooks for us Tonkotsu Ramen. As usual, her cooking skill is better than mine. No wonder Kai really loves her. Then, we continued playing until we heard someone is knocking front door. When I open the door, Mirai-san is there. We invited him to have dinner with us. I thought he would reject but he accepts our invitation. After eating, he said he needed to go back home now as the sky had become darker.

“Goodbye, Yume-chan! Goodbye Mirai-san!” I said to them.

“Thank you for today, both of you! I am really appreciate your help!”

“This is nothing, Mirai-san. Yuka is really love this!” Ai said while looking at me.

“What do you mean, Ai?”

“Nothing, Yuka!”

After they go home, Ai takes four cans of beer from the refrigerator.

“Yuka, lets drink this tonight!”

While drinking, Ai asks me, “Yuka, do you have plan next week?”

“Nothing.”

“Really? I thought that you wanted to meet with your mom. Coincidentally, we have summer break starting from next week.”

“I still don’t know what I want to say to her. How am I supposed to do when she even don’t want to see my face anymore?”

“What are you talking about, Yuka? Whose mom don’t want to meet with her own children?”

“This is just my imagination only. How about yours, Ai? I thought you will have a date with Kai during the summer break.”

“He said he will be helping his family at the shop this summer break. That’s why I don’t have any plans now. I know! Maybe I can help you to become closer with Mirai-san this break!” she said with a smirk on her face.

“W-what?! We are just a friend!”

“From my point of view, you unconsciously looking at him when we had dinner earlier.”

“That is your only imagination. I am only looking at Yume-chan! Luckily, Mirai-san can spend time with Yume-chan more during this summer break.”

“Right. You are sad that you can see Mirai-san more often after this,” she said trying to tease me.

“Whatever you want. Ai, it is okay if I start making music again?”

This thought suddenly crossed my mind.

“What are you saying suddenly? As your best friend, I’m afraid your antis will start attacking you again. Don’t you remember the message you got before? I feel so terrified to read that message. It makes me hard to sleep at night when I remember about that.”

“You know, at least I can give something to people who still supporting me until today. I promise this will be last my song.”

I said this while thinking about Yume-chan. She is surely happy to know about this.

“If that what you want. So, what kind of performance do you want to do? From my own opinion, you can just post your song on Whotube. It easier and freer!” Ai said to me.

“I will do that!”

On the next day, I started composing my song. This time, I will try to create a song that have a similar vibe with ‘I am sorry’ song, a heartfelt ballad song. I want to create that kind of song again. It took me five days to finish composing the song without any rest. After that I wrote the lyrics, with Ai’s help. With her help, I can finish writing the lyrics in only three days. Now, I need to practice singing this song. It feels so nostalgic to sing while playing this guitar. I forgot to ask dad about his relationship with Takashi sensei before. After almost two weeks practice this song, I can sing this song more confidently. Then, Ai who became my video director asked me to sit on sofa while holding guitar.

“Ai, what I am should do here?” I try to clarify with her what kind of theme she trying to do.

“You just sitting there singing while playing guitar. Make sure to sing so that the microphone can catch your voice.”

I will believe her for now. If anything, bad happens after she posts this video, I will do something to her.

“Are you ready, Yuka?”

“Yes.”

“Start now!”

After Ai gives me a sign, I take this chance to say something in this video.

“Everyone, this is me, Nakamura Yuka. I know maybe some people still hate me for what happened. I will take this chance to apologize sincerely to everyone who is hurt by my actions. Especially to the people who are disappointed with my wrongdoings. I don’t know if this is my last chance to talk to everyone but today, I will sing a song titled, ‘Without You’. This song is write by me and my friend. I hope everyone can enjoy it.”

Then, I start playing the guitar with gentle strumming.
