Issue #8

     Usagi stared into Anna’s hazel eyes as his face turned redder than a tomato. Anna looked a bit concerned because Usagi was just standing there with his face all red. “Uhh Usagi, are you okay?” she asked gently taking his arm to walk him over to a bench where they sit down. Usagi’s mouth started trembling a bit before he could get the words out. “I’m fine just startled. W-what brings you to this neck of the city?” he asked. Anna looked at him. “Well I was visiting my grandmother and I caught Bio-Stream on camera when he stopped those criminals in the alleyway it was so cool,” Anna said as a smile appeared on Usagi’s face thinking how cool it was that the girl of his dreams thinks it’s cool that he is stopping bad guys even though she doesn’t know it’s him. “So what’s your opinion on Bio-Stream?” Usagi asked. Anna thought about it because she didn’t wanna seem like she would be rambling on.

“Well, I think he’s cool the fact that he takes time out of his days to do what the government officials in our city won’t do is amazing he doesn’t want anything in return and no one even knows why he does it he’s for the people and even the podcasters are starting to support him he’s such a great person I wish I could tell him personally,” Anna explained as Usagi’s smile disappeared because he knew he couldn’t tell her that he is Bio-Stream. “Trust me I believe he knows,” he said. Anna nodded smiling.

“It is pretty cool that he’s been doing this for a month and has already made big change plus he’s so hot. I hope I get to meet him soon,” she said. Usagi looked away gritting his teeth because the girl he loves has a crush on his alter ego which makes it very hard for him because he wanted to impress her as Usagi Jones, not Bio-Stream. Anna shook her head and turned to look back at him. “Hey you okay Usagi?” she looked at him putting a hand on his shoulder. Usagi stood up feeling upset. “I’m sorry Anna I gotta go it was great seeing you,” he said running off as Anna extended her hand out to him but it was too late. She just sighed wondering what was bothering him.

Usagi ran into the city park area and took a couple of deep breaths because he was a bit exhausted from running. Usagi looked down still bummed about the fact that there could be a chance that he could never be with Anna due to him being this larger-than-life figure because she was in love with him as Bio-Stream and not Usagi Jones. He sighed walking through the park seeing a couple riding bikes together and saw another couple having a picnic. Usagi stood on the little bridge and stared into the pond looking sad. Usagi heard police sirens blaring and he sighed. He fixed his hat and zips up his red hoodie after putting his hood on as he jetted into the city streets he followed the police cars to the destination of where the crime was being committed but his mind was still occupied on Anna. Usagi soon made it to where the criminals are. They are four men with guns inside a bank with hostages. The Police Chief's name is Dak Hart son of the legendary Sheriff Mickey Hart. Dak got on the megaphone to try to reason with the bank robbers. “Look let’s make this nice and easy just tell us what you want,” he said as Usagi was hidden behind one of the police cars searching for a way to get into the building to disarm the criminals.

“Look here pig what we want is to go free without you and your plate of bacon following us or the blood of these people will be on your hands,” the bank-robbing leader said as Dak sighed. “You know good and damn well we can’t do that you should just release the hostages now and give yourselves and POSSIBLY you could get a lighter sentence,” Dak said as the bank-robbing leader grabbed a woman and held a gun to her head as the cops aimed their guns at him. Usagi snuck around to the back of the bank looking around as the cops were standing behind their cars with their backs turned Usagi activated his powers using his blood arrows to create an entranceway.

“CALM DOWN!” Dak shouted as the leader glared getting ready to pull the trigger. “Just let us go now!” he shouted. Dak aimed his gun. “Let the woman go now dammit!” Dak shouted. The woman looked to be in her 20s she had dirty blonde hair and pale skin and dressed like she was in an office meeting. She was screaming in fear with tears in her eyes thinking she was about to die. “PLEASE SIR JUST LET ME!” she screamed in tears as the bank robber got agitated. “SHUT UP B*TCH!” he shouted.

Usagi hid behind the corner seeing one of the bank robbers guarding the back of the bank. Usagi still had his powers activated and he smirked and kicked the wall trying to make noise for the robber to come his way so he could knock him out quietly without him alerting his partners because they would just kill the hostages so he knew he had to be smart. The robber walked over to the corner only to be caught by a blood arrow that made him trip falling on his face and hitting the hard floor knocking him out. Usagi tied him up with the blood rope. “Take a nap,” Usagi whispered as he looked out the door with a window.

He saw one aiming a machine gun at the hostages as the other one was pacing back and forth. Usagi made a blood hand and extended it over to the one holding the gun at the crowd knocking him out from behind the one pacing was about to start panicking but Usagi burst in and made two blood fists and started punching him with a 13-piece combo making him drop the gun and tied him and his partner up with the blood rope. The leader looked into the bank. “What the hell?” he raised an eyebrow as the woman bit his finger. “OWWW!” he screamed as she ran over to Captain Hart who motioned for the police to get him. The leader ran into the bank on get hit by a blood arrow that smacked him in the face knocking him. Usagi left as soon as the police entered the bank. The crowd started to cheer because were saved.

Usagi readjusted his clothes and went home sighing thinking it was a long emotional day, but he was satisfied that he saved a bunch of lives today but he knew he needed to apologize to Anna for acting strange. Usagi also knew he was gonna have to be secretive and stopping those bank robbers only proved it. Anna was walking thinking about how Usagi was acting weird but weirder than normal. She wanted to know what he was hiding.
