Chapter 9:

Issue #9

Bio-Stream Volume 1

In a dark room, a man with long white hair, brown skin, a full beard, sunglasses, and a black suit was watching a monitor. A smirk appeared on his face because he was watching Usagi stop the bank robbers from yesterday. “This is the guy that’s screwing with my business?” the man asked turning to Brock who was bandaged up from his confrontation with Usagi. Brock tried to nod but he was still in pain Usagi’s powers left a long-lasting effect on his opponents. The man just turned off the tv looking a bit disappointed in his men. “This guy just looks like a freaking kid and yet you tough guys with guns can’t get the job done just because he can create arrows?” he asked looking agitated.

Keaton rose his hand. “Blood arrows,” he corrected the boss. The man pulled out his gun and shot Keaton in the heart killing him because he corrected him making the other thugs tremble a bit because they’d never seen their boss this pissed off before. “You’re all lucky I have a surprise for this asshole because if I didn’t you all would be reunited with Keaton here burning like the pieces of sh*t you are,” the boss said as he headed into his office. The thugs sighed in relief. “Clean up the trash on my floor!” he shouted from his office meaning Keaton who he shot in cold blood. The thugs went over to grab Keaton’s lifeless body and drug him out the back into the alleyway Brock opened up the trash can and the other thugs tossed him in with Brock closing the trash can with Keaton’s lifeless body inside.

Brock walked alongside the thugs thinking to himself about what the boss just told them about having a backup plan for Bio-Stream. He continued to think about it because he wanted to know what it was but asking questions would get him shot and he knew that and he didn’t want to end up like Keaton his former partner.

The thugs headed back inside the building. Sabrina stayed up working on her next podcast episode but she was having trouble because Bio-Stream didn’t go to her assigned area so she wasn’t allowed to report on him stopping the bank robbers and saving the hostages which frustrated her. Micheal came down and headed into the kitchen and started brewing coffee for her because he could obviously see how tired she was getting. He grabbed a coffee mug and filled it with coffee and added sugar and milk and stirred it up for her just the way she likes it. Micheal entered the living room sitting the coffee mug filled with coffee down beside her and kissed her on the cheek making her smile. “Thank you, baby,” Sabrina said grabbing the mug and started taking a sip of the coffee. “Anything for you,” he said as a smile appeared on his face.

He sat down beside her. “You know this is bullsh*t that you’re not reporting on Bio-Stream stopping those bank robbers and saving the hostages because he practically aided the police. The reason it should be YOU and NOT them is because you’re the first person to report on him when people didn’t know who he was,” Micheal explained as Sabrina nods. “Yeah I know but when we went to that meeting we basically swore an oath,” she said. Micheal scratched his head nodding thinking that Sabrina deserved the story more than anyone else.

Mister Parker walked through the hallways as his son Martin was coming out of his office. “Martin,” he called out as Martin turned away from him and gritted his teeth because that was the last person he wanted to see. Martin turned back trying to fake a smile on his face because he was still thinking about last night when they both had that big blow up towards each other. “What do you want?” Martin asked. Mister Parker motioned for him to go up to the roof so they just talk. Martin followed his father up to the roof where there was no one around as the sky was black being accompanied by the waxing crescent moon and stars. Martin looked around thinking why his father asked to come to the roof because Mister Parker never goes up to the roof. “Why did you ask me to come up here with you?” Martin asked raising an eyebrow. Mister Parker looked at the view of the city not paying attention to his son’s question feeling that nice cool breeze.

Martin saw how calm his father look and he knew something was up because everything they were near each other he and his father butted heads A LOT. Deep down Martin wanted to smile but all the feelings and memories made it hard for him. “Father, why did you ask me here?” Martin asked again but this time getting frustrated he wasn’t getting frustrated on purpose a lot of memories made him get frustrated. Mister Parker turned and looked at his son. “I brought you up here because I need to tell you something important,” he said as Martin stood there with his arm crossed waiting to hear what he had to say.

“Martin son I need to tell you about the importance of that meeting you missed,” he said as Martin gritted his teeth. “REALLY!? ARE YOU’RE GONNA BRING UP THIS DAMN MEETING AGAIN!? I GET IT I SCREWED UP I’M SORRY BUT YOU DON’T NEED TO HANG THIS OVER MY HEAD FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE GRR! YOU KNOW SOMETIMES I WISH IT WOULD’VE BEEN YOU AND NOT MOM! SCREW YOU AND STAY OUT OF MY LIFE!” Martin shouted storming off from the place. Mister Parker had tears running down his face because he wasn’t gonna scold his son but he had other news to tell him instead he dialed a number on his phone. “Yeah, I need you to come back to Zone City I have important news to tell you in person. Yeah. Love you too,” Mister Parker held up the phone heading back inside wiping the tears off his face.

Near a warehouse at the docks, an explosion occurred with the screams of men. Blue blood arrows started slicing up the dockworkers as a big buff guy with red skin and blue hair wearing a white tank top with black sweatpants on with no shoes or socks walked outside
