Chapter 11:

Issue #11

Bio-Stream Volume 1

Sabrina woke up late that day. She looked around for Usagi or Micheal but she couldn’t find either one of them. She went to sit back at her desk looking at her notes since it was a Sunday she has no podcast to do but something was telling her deep inside to go live. Sabrina set up her work area to begin her podcast but she looked over at the table to see a piece of paper. She grabbed it and read it. Her eyes got wide because it was about Bloodmaker a man with similar powers to Bio-Stream’s, it caught her full attention. Sabrina went live and started addressing the public about the murderer called Bloodmaker.

It started to rain outside as Usagi was making his way to the docks but saw the police tape. Usagi looked around seeing it was a ghost town but there was still blood around the warehouse. Usagi started scratching his head because he couldn’t understand what was there for a man to commit murder much less a man with the powers to do it. Usagi heard footsteps and he got startled and he hide behind a bunch of boxes. Micheal walked into the warehouse looking around but he was frustrated because there were no people around to question. Usagi raised an eyebrow trying to figure out why Micheal would be there trying to investigate the Bloodmaker situation. Micheal walked outside sighing because he felt this area was just a dead end. Usagi looked around the warehouse some more as Micheal left the docks disappointed as the rain continued to come down.

Martin and Stacy were in the waiting room with their hands clasped together while Mister Parker was in surgery. Martin was wrestling with so many thoughts in his head feeling so guilty because of all the fights he had with his dad over the company. Martin started crying out loud as Stacy hugged him tightly rubbing his back. “Just let it out, Martin. Let it all out,” she said calmly. Martin couldn’t shake all the feelings he had. Stacy teared up because seeing Martin cry instantly made her feel bad because she rarely saw Martin break down like this and when she did it became contagious because all his feelings would gush out. Stacy continued rubbing his back to help soothe him.

Micheal continued walking through the city still disappointed about the fact that there was nothing at the docks which felt odd to him because of the fact a lot of shreds of evidence were hidden because the cops only found a handful of evidence so no one else should’ve been able to find out about the evidence without fearing the wrath of Bloodmaker because he could still be in the area so anyone who would’ve found the evidence would quickly disappear so Micheal started thinking something was very off about the whole situation. He started running to get home so he could get on the computer to look up the story on the news website. Usagi walked through the warehouse soon entering the back area of the place and seeing a door which was odd because it looked like nothing was behind due to the building not being so big he decided to open the door because at this point he needed to find a bit of something that could help understand this whole Bloodmaker thing a bit better. Usagi opens the door and saw a dark hallway that extends making Usagi wonder about the place even more. Usagi walked through the door looking around as the door slowly closes behind him and locked. Usagi turned and looked behind him. “Guess I’m moving forward,” he said to himself as he started walking forward.

Sabrina turned to look at the door seeing Micheal coming through the door drenched in rainwater. “Where were you this morning?” she asked. Micheal scratched his head not even thinking about lying to her. “I was at the docks dealing with the Bloodmaker situation,” Micheal said as Sabrina looked concerned. “I knew because I saw you wrote it on a piece of paper I decided to take your advice and reported on it because you’re right it should be us reporting on this stuff because we are the ones who were first to start talking about Bio-Stream so this is our moment,” Sabrina said as a smile appeared across Micheal’s wet face. “Then let’s begin. Sabrina, I need you to look up the news website and type up Bloodmaker because I discovered something about the evidence being stolen or removed from the area even though the cops found a bit of evidence I believe they found pieces of evidence that will make this a wild goose chase where if we find the evidence we can be a step ahead of the cops and figure out this thing ourselves,” Micheal explained.

Sabrina nodded and she looked up the whole Bloodmaker case and saw a recent photo of a victim who is headless with blood all over looking like a middle-aged man. Sabrina looked horrified as Micheal hugged her as he glared at the computer screen seeing how long ago the photo was placed on the website it said just now meaning Bloodmaker made an appearance again but the location was labeled classified. Micheal gritted his teeth because of the fact the two of them were three steps behind this whole case and Micheal decides to up their game by doing more than being behind the desk. “Sabrina you and I are gonna be in the field journalist with me being your cameraman,” Micheal said. Sabrina looked at him with determination nodding. “Yeah, we’ll be the ones who can solve this case but let me text Usagi real fast,” Sabrina said as she started texting Usagi.

Usagi walked through the dark hallway hearing his phone vibrate and he pulled out the phone seeing the text from his sister about her and Micheal heading to do their podcast which was odd to him but he texted back with a response and continued walking until he saw a light at the end of the hallway. Usagi raised an eyebrow. He went forward to be in a whole other building that looked like a city underneath Zone City. “What is this place?” he asked him looking puzzled.
