Reincarnation | Chapter 2: "First Battle"

 “Listen up you selfish asshole, I’m only going to show you how to do this once. First, you gather up your energy through the blade and use the energy to coat your blade in flames. It’s really fast at activation so pay close attention, are you ready?”

I focus my attention on Katsu, as best as I can. I can’t help but get distracted with her attire. She’s wearing her half-top metal armor that shows off her abs on top of her armored skirt that barely goes down to her knees. As I’m focused on here I see dark energy form around the blade as it catches on fire, purple flames rage as she holds out her blade. The flames give off a glow that lights up katsu’s armor and her abs glisten from the glow. Her sword extinguishes as the flames go out.

“Now it’s your turn.”

Again out of thin air my sword materializes from the ground. I begin gathering up energy into my sword. The dark energy coats my blade as my blade erupts into purple flames just like katsu’s blade. Katsu slams her sword against the ground and begins clapping for me.

“Well done now, let’s try another death god stance move. First, gather up your energy like before except surrounding the blade with your energy to create an energy barrier around the blade that masks its presence. I’ll demonstrate now.”

As I’m watching I see the same dark energy from before, surrounding the blade. Creating an invisible barrier around the blade that masks its presence.

“Now you try. Just like how I showed you.”

I draw my sword and begin gathering up my energy to surround the sword. Again I see the same dark energy surrounding the blade. Creating an invisible barrier around the blade that masks its presence.

“Excellent! How about we spar for a bit.”

Katsu looks serious like she is about to kill me. I clench my hands around the hilt of my sword as I take a deep breath. Katsu dashes in fast. I can barely perceive it but my body acts on its own. I block her slash as we go blow for blow. I lose track of all the blocks. I just can’t believe how amazing this new body is. Then I see the dark energy form around Katsu’s blade. As her sword burst into purple flames. I back off and keep back steeping as she keeps swinging and missing. Then she flys in fast again just like before but she knocks my sword away. She is about to behead me when she stops and takes a breather for a few minutes.

Katsu and I have been sparring for a couple of hours now. So far she has shown me two death god stance moves.

Hellblazer– A blade coating move that coats the blade in purple flames. Hottest flame known

Illusionary Strike– An illusion move that deceives attacks with a fake illusion attack that masks the real strike.

“How about this? I know where a nearby hidden dungeon is that might contain some artifacts or tombs of knowledge.

Katsu warned me not to use illusionary strike until I’m used to the move. I could very easily lose focus and mess up the attack.

“Keep up slowpoke I don’t have time to babysit your ass.” she retorted

We continue down a dark corridor that leads to a bridge but a gigantic minotaur blocks our path. Its gigantic bullhead peers through the darkness and its horns are massive. Its body is like that of a giant man with bullhead.

“Here this should be some good practice for you. First, let me distract the minotaur, then you use Hellblazer and wings of death to cut its head off.”

Katsu materializes her wings as she flies in. The minotaur swings its giant club hitting the stone floor causing a massive crater where he hit. Katsu dodges and flies in between the minotaur’s legs, cutting one-off in the process as the minotaur falls to one knee.

“Now go!” She screams.

As I materialize my sword from the ground and hold it out to materialize my wings. I decided instead of using Hellblazer I’d use illusionary strike. I fly in as the minotaur turns towards me. It swings its arm at me which I dodge as I close in the distance about to hit my mark. I’m pinned against the wall. The minotaur connected a blow pinning me against the wall crushing my ribs. It throws me over the edge of the bridge as I tumble down into the depths of the dungeon.
