Reincarnation | Chapter 2.5: "Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here"

My leg I can’t stop thinking about the pain. It's unbearable. I look down at my left ankle. It's twisted beyond normal standards. I cringe at my teeth to hold back the vomit as I try to force myself up. *sounds of shortness of breath* My rips feel like they are piercing my lungs. I can’t breathe properly. It hurts to stand up and I can’t breathe but I fumble to the cave wall as I limp my way down the cold dark damp eerie corridor. Where the fuck am I, I blacked out after the fall. All I remember was getting picked up by that Minotaur. Oh, wait I remember now I messed up my attack and it crushed my ribs and tossed me off the bridge into the dark abyss. I don’t think I’m going to make it. Reincarnated just to die again what kind of sick joke is that fate. I stumble across an intersection it’s a 4 way I just keep heading straight because fuck getting lost even more.

Sign (above the intersection)- “Abandon All Hope, Ye who enter here” (Picture it in your head it’s like a stone sign with ancient Hebrew carved into it displaying the above text.. It also has behind the text a giant skull with wings coming out of it.)

I Kept wandering aimlessly for a good 5-10 minutes in the dark. I couldn't see anything. The hairs on my arm were on edge as my heart kept beating like a boxer in a match. I was terrified, I could only see two feet in front of me all I knew was that I was pressed up against some cold stone wall. Its surface was coarse, cracks all along it as I kept my balance by leaning against the wall. All of a sudden the wall ended I couldn’t see and now I was halfway standing aimlessly in the dark, in some hellish dungeon deep underground with no hope of rescue. My heart was about to explode. I couldn't take another step.

“INSOLENCE!” A voice rang out of nowhere. My heart jumped out of my chest. I was too terrified to look, fuck I fucking couldn’t see jack shit, to begin with.

“You insignificant wrench, how dare thy disturb my slumber.” A loud blaring voice rang through the corridor.

My ears rang like after you shot a gun for the first time without muffs. I was on the verge of pissing myself as I looked everywhere nothing can be seen. I wanted to run but what good would that do I had no clue where I was. And worse it might be behind me and ill run straight into it. I then feel a cold chill run up my spine as my hair all raises on my body. The sounds of chains can be heard dragging against the stone floor. I want to run but I can’t I’ll die for sure. I’ve seen way too many horror films to know that’s a rookie mistake.

“Calm down”

What was that? I didn’t say that.

“Calm down, I can see the beast before us. You need to calm down and focus, I can see your memories but all mine are gone.”

Who the fuck are you and how am I speaking to myself. Am I going crazy? Has the darkness got to me? Am I losing my mind in any way? It has to be right. Right.

“I need you to breathe, I can get us out of this mess but you have to let me take over.”

Take over, what do you mean by that?

“See your right hand and how it’s pale like a corpse but the rest isn’t. I don’t know what it is but I know if you let me take over. I can deal with this beast. I understand how terrified you are but you have to let me take over.”

Fine, I’ll do it. What do I have to do? Hello, you ther–

2 hours later

ARHh What just happened. I can’t remember a thing but there’s blood all over me and I woke up Next to a dead monster. It looked like a smaller Minotaur, not as big as the one before. Its massive horns were broken and one was shoved in its eye. Its mouth was wide open with razor-sharp teeth like a shark stared at me. I instinctively backpedaled away and threw up what little I ate at the start of our adventure. I can’t get that face out of my head. Just like a bull almost but with a demonic twist… It looked like it could kill me in no sweat but how is its own horn in its eye moreover why am I covered in blood. Hey, the voice from before you there hello. No response. I don't get it. My leg as well is healed but I was sure it was broken beyond repair. I walked towards this light from a roaring fire. It opened up into a hot spring it seemed. A raging fire lit up the room. I felt at peace, especially after what I just experienced. I stripped down to nothing and hopped into the water. I was at peace relaxing in the hot water. I looked down at the scars all over my body. It was like I was stabbed repeatedly by millions but kept raising. One deep scar on my right bicep where my heart would be. I was looking at my new body when I heard the sounds of stone being broken. I looked up as a giant fucking crater-sized hole broke through the ceiling. The stone fell everywhere as I saw her luscious hair flowing in the wind. A giant tiger claw on her right hand that she appeared to use to smash through the ceiling. I probably had a face of shock and a giant gaping mouth as I couldn’t believe she did that. I looked up. It was at least a good 10–20 feet hole in the ceiling to the surface. I wondered how she found me though. She was catching a breather, as her hair kept blowing in the wind. I saw the sweat running down her abs. Her dark tanned skinned really turned me on top of her already well-endowed chest.

“So this is where you ended up, what exactly is this place anyway,” Katsu asked.

“I'm not sure but there was this huge monster guarding the entrance, must mean something is hidden here.” As I said that I noticed a mysterious door, It had skeleton-like arms coming out of the door reaching down towards the door handles, it looked like two half skeletons stuck in the door. Above the door the text, “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.” I reach for the doors as a mysterious red circle appears over the door sucking me into the magic circle. As I begin to lose consciousness I see flashes of what appears to be someone’s memories. I see a tower as black smoke comes spewing out of the window. Then I see flashes of a right hand with a cursed red symbol in the center, the hand looks almost rotten like dead flesh. Then I see a desolate battlefield, dead bodies strewn everywhere. The last thing I see is a staff but I can't see it clearly. I wake up on the other side of the door and see the staff I saw in the vision. Its black with what looks like flesh wrapped around it. A big red crystal sits at the tip of the staff. I see an inscription that reads, “LifeBinder” As i reach for the staff i see the same visions as before. After a couple of minutes, I appear on the other side of the door.
