Chapter 77:
Spice of Life
As Valentines day arrived, Rika happily took her chocolate out of the oven.
"You made that large chocolate again?" Masaru asked.
"Now especially. People are gonna wanna buy chocolate from us either to-go or to dine in," Rika replied
"So why did you put a chocolate bin by the door?"
"Some patrons might give some to us as a courtesy. Not like you'd mind considering you're gonna end up making a massive White day dessert."
"Seems I will."
"Oh yeah, open wide, you get a special mix," Rika smiled as she fed Masaru some chocolate she had set aside.
"It tastes better than last year's," Masaru noted.
"I added some new spice," Rika grinned.
...
"Why are you giving chocolate to that old man?" Helga glared.
"Cause he's an old friend. Besides it's just obligation or whatever," Mimi replied as she handed some chocolate to Eluf.
"Seems I won't need to steal a bunch of chocolate this year," Dastard thought to himself.
"Here's yours though," Mimi smiled as she gave Helga some chocolate.
"Likewise," Helga mumbled as she placed some chocolate before Mimi.
"So here's my chocolate," Waki smiled as she presented some to Matcha.
"*Sigh* I might as well give you a chocolate now so you don't pester me in a month on White day," Matcha groaned.
"Lilys are blooming nicely," Madoka smiled as she ate the special valentines crepes.
"Those are meant for lovers, but we make exceptions for hungry crepe lovers and our crepe goddess of course," Rika chuckled as Madoka cleaned the plate.
As Madoka left, Jester flew by dressed as cupid and kidnapped her.
"Buwahahahaha! You know what I love? MURDER!" Jester laughed as he tossed Madoka into the sky and fired a homing missile at her.
Madoka then kicked the air and managed to maneuver around the missile and charge towards Jester.
"Loser, the missile's programed not to hurt me," Jester taunted.
"Madoka KICK!" Madoka cried as she kicked Jester towards the missile.
Jester ended up making contact causing the missile to explode and send him flying away.
"[FUCK YOU] MADOKA!" Jester screamed.
"Come to think of it, you'll be starting Middle school soon," Rika stated as she walked out.
"I'm gonna look so cute in my uniform," Madoka giggled.
A few weeks later on March 3rd, 2017...
"Well who'd have thought you 3 would have such a birthday," Rika smiled as she placed a strudel cake before the triplets.
"We're-"
"-Now-"
"____."
"KASUMI!"
"*Sigh* 12 years old," Kasumi groaned as she and her sisters ate their cake.
"Your cake is really good, but I think the chicken tastes better," Yuni smiled as she tried some of the cake.
"HEY! Don't eat our birthday cake!" the triplets pouted.
"Sorry. Here, I'll give you some of my chicken to make up for it."
"YAY!!"
Two weeks later...
Madoka snacked on her crepes in bliss.
"For the elementary school grad, it's on the house," Rika smiled.
"You're too kind," Harumi smiled.
Emeri meanwhile, groaned as her parents celebrated.
"You know Eriza and I each have one more year before our graduations," Emeri groaned.
"So? We celebrate ya reachin the finish line," Eika smiled.
Today, the restaurant was filled with people celebrating their graduations.
"We're-"
"-now-"
"*Sigh* Middle schoolers," the triplets stated.
"Well, still haven't gotten the uniforms yet. Then you three will be much harder to tell apart," Yuni chuckled as she ate her chicken.
"I sometimes have trouble myself," Hitomi sighed.
"That twintailed girl sure snarfs down a ton of chicken. Surprised she doesn't get fat," Bianka grumbled as she glanced at Yuni.
"Oh? Not going to flirt? Perhaps you truly are getting older," Mochi snickered.
"Onee-sama called. That's why."
"She tell you off?"
"Yes. Said she'll be back soon as well."
Rika and Masaru happily watched the lively customers.
"You know, both the restaurant's one year anniversary and our birthdays are comin up soon," Rika grinned.
"Very well. I know what you will request," Masaru smiled.
