Maverick Team

The following logs and notes have been assembled at the request of Cesar, AKA the Oracle, designated Maverick 3.

They contain the experiences of Maverick Corp, then Maverick Team, during year two of their tenure, excluding the times when Shinobi, designated Maverick 1, led the team into temporal distortions or other dimensions, and also because Oracle perceives the first year was "all about survival and forming up as a team, and we did not receive assistance from an advanced AI," referring to my programming as an advanced AI.

According to external records, Maverick Corps, in its infancy as Maverick Team, was the tenth paramilitary pathfinder group/company to be founded, circa the year 2 Post-Glitch Era (hereafter PGE), being also the smallest at the time of its inception.

The sudden, chaotic state of the world following the event known as 'The Glitch' left, as sources state, the world in shambles, with ninety percent of the population killed or simply sent into oblivion, replaced by a plethora of mutated beasts, demons from an infernal plane of existence, angels, fairies, elves, machines, androids, aliens, gods... the list is endless, but it can be summarized by the latter nomenclature. Humans who survived this apocalyptic event were changed forever, but their relentless spirit launched into fighting their way up the ladder, or rather the new food chain.

This is where the Pathfinders came into notoriety.

Pathfinders were humans with extraordinary abilities, which in turn empowered their weapons, whatever they may be. Blessed with the very improbability that had caused the Glitch, they soon rose above their peers as gun-for-hires for numerous threats and crises that befell humanity for the right price.

Maverick Team's founders, designated Maverick Kings, were five friends who passed out during the whole turnabout of Earth, awakening to a hostile world and being bestowed with strange abilities. After some time coping with the whole situation, the friends, herein called David, Diego, Cesar, Gael, and Remi, decided to work together to make a living in the new world called Moros.

Despite my subroutines indicating the narrative must go on, Oracle has insisted on multiple revisions that the foreword concludes here, "it creates a sense of suspense" he stated.
