#054 Ticket to Nowhere

It was rush hour but Kyobashi station was empty. The dark, gaping mouths of its metro tunnel always made me feel uneasy.

I stepped inside when the metro hissed to a halt. I appeared to be the only passenger but the longer I looked, the more I noticed. A translucent eyeball floated in the corner of my eye, a man missing his head was dripping blood on the floor and a disembodied voice rang in my head: “GET OUT NOW!”

I stepped out seconds before the doors closed shut. To this day, I wonder where the metro would’ve taken me.
