Christmas Morning (Bonus Chapter)

Twas the morning of Christmas day, and a little angel was already seated under the tree.

She sifted through piles of boxes, asking “are any of these presents for me?”

Her Uncle Mel, who was strong and wise, picked out a big box for her. She couldn't believe her eyes.

Within the box was not a bunch of blocks, nor was it a fox eating lots of big rocks. (Because that would be weird)

The true gift she'd received was exactly what she wanted. A new giant stuffed pony, one she lovingly flaunted.

“Let’s see what Yamin got, I'm sure it'll be great!” Yamin's gift was a new telescope, one that was the most up to date.

Uncle got a pair of new shoes, good for his fancy gray suit. hopefully these ones he didn’t intend to lose.

Strange keys were found with Marek’s name written on the side. As he turned his gaze to the street, a new car awaited him like a bride.

That left the fire mage Indena, who was the least excited of All. Perhaps it was her attitude, or maybe her heart was three sizes too small.

“Oh shut up, stupid rhyming narrator!”

My my, was her anger ringing. But Santa had left something in her stocking. Soon her soul would be singing.

“No way! I'll hate it.”

Deep into the sock her hand would go, but what was this now? She received a hearty lump of coal.

“Ha ha...very funny.” Indena felt like a fool. "Bah humbug."
