A Story Inside Of A Story

I sat at the long table right across from the Hatter. I stared at him waiting for his explination. Finally he began to speak. "Your father is a man who has been living in this world for a long time, ever since his "death in your world." The Hatter spoke smoothfully and slowly as I took everything in. "He is the smartest and most thoughful person in this world and everyone loves him."

I stared at him while my mind wondered. Back when I was young I remember my father always telling silly jokes and he always smiled a lot. 'His smile...' I thought as I remembered. 'Anyone would automatically become happy if they saw his smile...' I quickly focased my attention back to the Hatter as I realized he had been staring at me. "Well," he began as he stood from the table, "do you want to go see your father?" He asked in his cheerful tone again.

I closed my eyes and thought for a second. "Okay then, let's go." I said as I stood up and patted dowm my dress. The Hatter gave me one last cheerful smile before heading off, and of course I followed. We seemed to be going through a series of twist and turns and lefts and rights on the way, and I was getting confused and a little annoyed at the path.

After about five minutes (which left me thinking how did we get there so quickly) we had arrived at a small house in an even smaller village. I braced myself before knocking loudly...
