Chapter 2:

Tea At A Time Like This!?

Alice In TēmaLand!

I had been walking for about thirty minutes before I made it out of the forest. The first thing I noticed was a man who looked to be in his mid thirties wearing a hat. When I approached him he smiled gently. "Alice! It's you!" He said as he poured himself a cup of hot tea. It didn't bother me much that he knew my name, since I now know I'm being looked for. "Yes, who are you." I simply said while crossing my arms.

"I am the Hatter of course!" He said with a big grin. I completely ignored his enthusiasm. "Well can you help me find the direction to my home?" I said as kindly as I could. "Of course! But first sit and let's have tea." He said. "Tea!? What good is tea at a time like this!?" I nearly shouted. I was now twice as angry as I had been before.

"Tea is just what you need right now to help you with your anger." The Hatter simply replied while putting the cup of hot tea to his lips. He took a small sip and smiled. "I'm not angry." I said sternly. I stared him down, trying to figure out what he was thinking of. "Angry or not, Tea's all we've got!" The Hatter shouted exidetly.

I was getting really fed up with these people. They were so...odd. And that was not a good thing. "Is there not one normal person I can talk to here!?" I said while stomping my foot. "We are normal, you're just different." He said before taking a card from under his hat. "Here." He said. I took the card from his hand.

On the front it had a picture of the purple squirrel wearing my ribbon. I flipped it over to the other side and it had a picture of me wearing my ribbon. "Now who do you think needs it most?" The Hatter asked as he finished up the last of his tea. "That's simple." I said. "I do." The Hatter let out a loud sigh when he heard my response. "Are you sure?" He asked.

I stomped my foot again. "Of course I'm sure!" I shouted. "That ribbon belongs to me, it was a gift from my father!" I said. "I know." Was all he said. "How?" I asked him with a  questioned look on my face. "Because your Father is a good resident of this world."
