Chapter 8:

The Black Cloud Pirates

The Legend of One Piece : A Journey Across The Divided Seas

Eloia used the marine's body to cushion her fall as they broke through the ground. Surrounded by more marines, she dusted off her clothes and stood up. Her jacket was torn apart, revealing her arms adorned with tattoos and scars. She grabbed a small piece of cloth from her jacket's remnants and gave it a nostalgic smile.

"Well, I guess that's as far as you'd go then," she muttered, fondly staring at her shredded jacket delicately falling apart.

"Hey! On your knees! What do you think you're doing!"

Eloia turned around as a crowd of marines faced her. Simultaneously, a sudden wind blew, and a whirlwind slowly started to form. The wind grew stronger as she felt a hand reaching over her body, carrying her away. A tornado began, and she found herself in the middle of it, blowing away the army of marines.

"Finally, I caught up to you!"

She looked up towards the voice carrying her throughout the tornado, only to find it was Cloud.

In distraught, she began yelling, "What the hell are you doing! Put me down!"

"Jeez, you're really hard to please, you know! Have you ever even received help from a friend before?" Cloud responded as the tornado continued to blow away marines into the nearby sea.

"Ugh!"

The tornado calmed down as Cloud let himself and Eloia down onto the ground, the marines seeming to be cleared out.

The intimidating presence that stood behind them on the tower before had found them.

"Well, I guess that leaves you then," he approached Eloia with a menacing stare.

Cloud begun to stare him closely, when a realization had hit him.

"Wait, aren't you that famous pirate?"

"Uhmm," he said startled in response.

"You have that muzzle over your face, about 6 foot 7... and you have the lady tattoo on your forearm... you're Haito the pirate who stands alone... interesting meeting you here!"

Cloud nodded at him with pleasure.

"I don't have time for this," Eloia said as she rolled her eyes.

"Move out of our way, Cloud... I'm going to teach this big idiot a lesson on respect when it comes to speaking to me."

She clenched her fist as she and Haito walked towards each other.

Before they reached each other, they both froze as they instinctively moved their heads back, dodging the needles flying towards them. They turned to 2 figures wearing dark formal suits.

"I see that little trick isn't working anymore, hah," Catherine said with a sly smile, beside her was the guy that helped her ambush Eloia.

"Well, nevermind big idiot, I have a prior appointment to take care of with those two." She turned to face them.

"I can deal with you later, if there is anything I hate more than a marine or yakuza.. it's one disguised as the other." Haito responds.

"Well, this is great! We're all becoming friends!" Cloud reached his arms over their shoulders and smiled as he squeezed them into a hug.

Catherine let out an evil cackle.

"Wow, I never seen people so happy on their last moments.

Haito and Eloia both quickly pushed Cloud off of them.

"You should go away, I know you had your fun messing around here, but this is no place for a simple fool like yourself..." Elioia says.

"Eloia, are you trying to protect me?" Cloud laughs.

"You two shut it- I'm currently imagining all the horrible things I'm about to do to these guys!" Haito interrupts.

"What is wrong with you?" Eloia says to Haito who had quickly started to rush towards Catherine and her partner.

"Zip."

Haito was forced to stop as he plummeted to the ground.

"Ugh, my arms and legs!" He hit the floor loudly.

"Hey! What's going on with my body!" Cloud looked towards his arms and legs as he also fell to the ground."

Already familiar with this voice, Eloia quickly prepared herself as the familiar figure stepped forward.

"Captain Jack, you shouldn't have to come all the way here. I was getting ready to get rid of these losers for good," Catherine said snarkily.

"Well, these three have caused enough trouble as it is. I think it's better I take care of them myself, especially with you good-for-nothings running around adding to the ruckus."

Catherine stepped back in submission.

"Ofcourse, whatever you say."

"and with HellHound Eli here, or Eloia, is it? We should make sure we finish this quickly before word gets out." He smirked.

"You're basically a legend, quite unfortunate these turn of events. There are specific orders to get rid of you for good and I figured.. I'd start with your friends."

Eloia clenched her fists.

"I don't have any friends."

"Really? What about these two."

Two marines stepped forward with two kids who happen to be the twins from earlier.

Eloia's heart began to race, her blood rushing through her veins as she was overcome with anger and disbelief.

"You're awfully quiet? Nothing to say?" Captain Jack said.

"If you don't let go of those two within the next minute, I'll have you all in pieces."

"Here's the deal, you tell your two partners over there to submit now and turn themselves in, and I'll let the runts go."

"You're so big and bad; do it yourself."

"I see. Well, I tried negotiating, I guess." Captain Jack sighs as he snaps his fingers to give orders.

'Break their arms."

The marines brought the twins to the ground as they grab and twist their arms.

Eloia silently continued to boil with anger. A dark aura seemed to begin to occupy the surroundings of her body.

"Cloud, remember what you promised!" Screamed one of the twins shrieking in pain.

Cloud, who had been frozen in shock, snapped back into reality, "I will keep it, I swear!"

He looked in determination as a storm began to brew in the sky as thunder roared, rain began striking down from the sky, a dust storm began to form, as Eloia's aura grew darker, resembling a devil-like figure.

"Interesting. The rumors were true. That devil aura of hers," Captain Jack wondered to himself. He began to take off his military jacket and loosened up his tie.

Eloia's aura reached the sky as the clouds turned black.

Cloud started to form his body into wind as the zipper ability of Captain Jack's seemed to cancel out against his devil fruit.

A thunder struck down and hit Jack, releasing Haito from his devil fruit powers.

Haito stood up and instantly he shielded himself in haki.

"Can't have that happening again..." He mumbled, his face grew into a mischievous grin as he set his eyes on the big guy next to Catherine that was chewing on gum.
