Chapter 48:

This time for real

Dreams of Reality

I am worried about today. I am scared that she won't recall what we talked about.
With the nervousness mixed in, this is not the best start to the day.

I am hoping she will remember everything and all will go smoothly. For some reason,
the fact that I have to hope for someone I had spoken with a mere day ago to remember the conversation pisses me off.

The closer I got to the school, the heavier my body felt. I could tell that subconsciously
I wished I stayed home. But the curiosity is why I am here anyway.

I was in the classroom earlier than usual. It was quiet and empty because everybody comes at the last second, including me. I don't know why I am here so early today. I must have left the house early, or I walked faster without noticing. After bells rang, the place was finally filling up.

Shara came too, but there was no chance for us to talk. We exchanged glances, and that's all we did because the teacher was talking already. Next break she came to my desk right away.

"Hi." she takes a chair and sits down in front of me.

"You look happy today. Something good happened already?"

"Well, not today. And don't act like you don't remember."

"I was worried you wouldn't remember."

"How would I forget about something like this? Do you think I am playing around or something?"

"No, not really. I was just worried a bit."

She shut in for a second. Guess she forgot about something a little different.

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to. It kinda slipped my mind. You know, it's not something a lot of people have to deal with."

"It's fine, don't stress over it."

"Wanna go somewhere after school?"

"Sure, I'd love to."
