Year 2 Afterword

Hi everyone - TheGrompFather here.

Well, it’s been a very long road (November 2022, wow - way longer than I thought), but the Year 2 Arc of The Children of Eris has ended and, oh boy, what a journey it has been!

Not just for the cast, but for you, dear reader, and I - more than 220,00 words across about 100 chapters (720 Word Document pages!); jumping from a chapter a week schedule to two a week too.

A lot has happened.

I sincerely hope you’ve enjoyed your time here with both the Summoned Heroes and the Free People’s Alliance, and with the Demon Emperor and his loyal minions.

There was a lot more that I’d originally planned to do in this arc, but a mixture of time constraints, stress, writer’s block, work, real life issues, and other wonderful things all lovingly decided to interfere with those plans. Sometimes all at once - ah, those were fun days. That said, I’m still happy with what I put out every week and I can only hope you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it, as cliché as that expression might be.

With all that said, I do intend to re-explore some story beats, scenes and arcs in the future, maybe as side stories or somewhere in the Year 3 Arc.

Oh yeah…speaking off.

The Children of Eris WILL return!

Just not until late 2024 with story and character recaps.

I have other projects and real-life things that I want to take care off/need to deal with, but I shall return!

I’ll also use this chance to plug my NEXT Honeyfeed project, An Essay on Isekai, which will be dropping in May 2024 and my other works which you can find on my bio.

Once again, thank you to each and everyone one of you for sticking with The Children of Eris thus far and I really hope you continue to love and enjoy it moving forward!
