Chapter 667: The Power of Merging Magic

Narrator: Back when the Stargazer first landed on Planet Pylon.

Emily, Kurt, Joe, Pearl, Lavana, Dusk, and Herbie all exit the ship to begin battle with the dark divine beings and demons surrounding their ship.

Emily starts slashing a demon with her Shadow Sword and ends up cutting off the demon’s right arm.

Kurt releases many Aura Whip attacks to hit multiple dark divine beings and demons.

Joe throws a bolt of lightning that then blasts electricity into all directions the dark divine beings and demons.

Pearl’s crystals begin to emerge from the ground beneath the dark divine beings and demons, piercing some of them.

Lavana releases a wave of lava, engulfing some of the dark divine beings and demons.

Dusk holds out his right arm. Suddenly, some dark air begins to swirl around them, the dark air begins to cut away at the skin of both dark divine beings and demons.

Herbie makes flowers bloom from the ground around his enemies. Those flowers begin releasing pollen that explodes, damaging the dark divine beings and demons in the area.

Joe smiles confidently. “We can hold our own against all of these guys!”

Kurt replies, “So far so good but don’t get overconfident. It’s clear that these people are divine beings and demons.”

In narration, Lavana says, “The light forces of the ship had the upper hand until he showed up…”

Suddenly, Ronzic launches out from inside a wall and gut-punches Kurt with a lot of magic and physical force, taking him by complete surprise and leaving him in a lot of pain. Ronzic follows up by kicking him back against the ship, knocking him out.

The others are shocked. Joe points at Ronzic. “Where did he come from!?”

Emily pulls out her Ice Beam Rifle and shoots it at Ronzic. However, Ronzic descends into the ground by going completely through it like it’s not there. The beams of ice hit a steel wall and freeze it a bit. Emily shakes a bit from the shock. “He just phased through the ground! Is he a ghost!?”

Pearl steps forward. “If he is in the ground, he can’t hide from me!”

Pearl slams her hands against the ground, causing crystals to pierce up through the ground where Ronzic was standing. However, there is no evidence that he was hit by them.

Pearl frowns in a perplexed way. “It didn’t get him?”

Suddenly, a hand emerges from the ground where Pearl is and grabs her by the face. Ronzic’s whole body emerges from that spot as he blasts magic energy from his hand directly into Pearl’s face. When Ronzic lets go, Pearl is blasted into the air.

Immediately after, Emily tries to slash Ronzic with her Ability Sword in its yellow mode. She hits him with a handful of rapid slashes before he jumps away and merges into the walls of the Stargazer.

Emily frustratingly yells, “His power is very annoying to deal with!”

Joe charges his magic. “Until we know exactly how his magic works, we are forced to be on the defensive!”

Lavana points at the ship. “Wait! If he is in the ship, then the rest of the crew is in danger!”

Emily, Joe, Dusk, and Herbie all open their eyes wide.

Also, Pearl’s body finally comes down from the air and lands on the ground. She has suffered some injuries.

More dark divine beings and demons show up in the area.

Joe turns around to look at all of them. “Damn it! There’s more of them!”

Emily replies, “So we have to worry about the rest of the crew and take these guys on at the same time?”

Joe shouts, “I’ll use strong weather magic attacks to take these guys out. The rest of you go after the phasing bastard on the ship!”

They then hear Ronzic’s voice. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”

The heroes are all alerted and look up at the exit of the ship. Ronzic walks out with some human hostages, including Jeff and Laila.

Ronzic continues. “If you make a wrong move, I will kill these mortals where they stand immediately. If you want there to be no casualties, surrender immediately.”

Emily thinks to herself. (“We’re outnumbered and Kurt and Pearl have been knocked out for now. We still don’t know what happened to Zeth and Sasha after crashing on this planet but we might have to put our faith in them to get us out of this situation later.”)

Joe thinks to himself. (“Zeth… Sasha… We’re in serious trouble… I can’t believe we’re about to do this… but we have no choice.”)

Emily and Joe get out of their battle stances and let their arms fall by their sides.

Emily and Joe both speak at the same time. “We surrender.”

Lavana, Dusk, and Herbie look at them with surprise but soon realize that it’s for the best and also get out of a battle stance.

Ronzic looks out toward all of his allies. “Tie them up! We’re taking all of them in. The angels will be put to work. The mortals will be locked up.” He begins looking down at Lavana, Dusk, and Herbie. “As for those three… Wait, they are demons. I’m sure you’ve been enslaved by these scummy angels. You are now free.”

The three demons look surprised while Emily and Joe appear dumbfounded. All five of them simply say, “What?”

The flashback is over and it’s back to Lavana, Dusk, and Herbie talking to Sasha in the cafeteria.

Dusk speaks. “And that’s how it happened. All of the angels got forced to work, the mortals locked up, and us being ‘freed’.”

Sasha rubs her chin while appearing to be thinking. While that happens, the last of the other dark divine beings in the cafeteria have finished eating and leave.

Sasha thinks to herself. (“That is problematic. I’m certain that Zeth and I are stronger than Ronzic but with his power, the whole world is available for him to use while we are confined to our immediate area. He could retreat and take a hostage to give himself even more of an advantage. Ugh! Why does the one that I hate the most have to be the most annoying to fight!?”)

Herbie turns his head a bit with a look of curiosity. “Lady Sasha?”

Sasha finally stops thinking and looks at them. “Prepare for the uprising.” Her face then turns to a serious expression as she continues speaking. “Plant the seeds of rebellion.”

After taking a moment to process her words, the three demons all confidently smile and nod.

Narrator: After learning what happened, Sasha is ready to plot their rebellion! The three demons must plant the seeds of rebellion!
