A Thunder Struck the Sea

"Cannons, incoming!" Screams one of the crew.

"Get the cannons ready! Shoot at will!" Commands the captain, he looks pretty cool right now.

I can see the balls flying towards us from far away, I quickly pull my wand out of my pocket and shoot them as much as I can so they will explode in the air, it takes a considerable amount of energy to destroy the projectiles because it's a solid metal ball.

I don't think this will finish soon if I just stand here shooting the balls, I need to fly there. I rush to my room and get my broom.

"Where are you going?!" Ben noticed me going inside, I just ignored him and went on with my plan.

Inside everyone is fully locked in, and even the kids are helping to carry the gunpowders to the cannons, surprisingly this is the first time that I have seen something like this with my own eyes, my squad was just flying cavalries that happened to also shoot explosives.

Anyway, I fly as soon as I'm outside and try to get as far as I can from the crossfire so no one would see me waltzing onto their ship and spoil their day.

It takes me a few minutes to get above them instead of a minute, but it's going to be very satisfying.

I aim my wand at their ship and start praying to the Man.

Lord give me power, to destroy the evil and restore justice, for I am just a vessel of your will, the Almighty.

A giant thunder comes out of my wand that is so bright it overpowers the sun, so loud that it shatters glass, and so powerful that it blows a giant hole into their ship and burns everything around it.

It was a magnificent sight, not to mention the view of pirates in a panic trying to fix the ship and retreating at the same time.

I rarely see it, because it uses all my energy, I need to get back to the ship very quickly if I don't want to fall into the sea.

I fly at full speed and land on the ship shortly, I'm very sleepy and about to pass out, I can see the captain giving his hand to me but I don't have the energy.

"G-g-give me food." I stutter, I'm about to pass out. I can just make out a crew running to the inside with my blurry sight.

I could've just shot them one by one but I wanted to show off and get Ben to see my power, and hopefully, it works, I don't know, I'll talk with him when I feel better.

Ben is carrying me to my bed and doesn't say anything while going there, he probably thinks I am stupid or something.

After putting me to bed, he left me alone in my room. Shortly after a guy gave me a loaf of bread and a glass of beer, really appreciate it.

Beers after a fight are always refreshing, and the bread is just bread, I don't like bread much.

I'll sleep and wake up at dinner, and hopefully, it's another tasty meal.

I wake up and still feel sluggish, like a literal slug. It's already dark outside, and I see a meal on the table, I missed the dinner.

Well, whatever, it's better to eat alone anyway.

It's a fish and chips dinner and it looks pretty good and tastes also pretty good, you can't go wrong with fish and chips.

After eating I immediately walk to the captain's cabin for business.

I barge in like a, no one actually, I just enter without knocking on the door because I forgot.

"You're alright now?" He asks me after puffing a big one, he doesn't seem to care.

"Mostly."

"Don't you think what you did earlier is a bit too overboard?"

"Those scumbags deserved it."

"Even if you want to kill them, with your ability, you can do it without damaging their ship, right?"

I can, easily. "I'm also training my stamina." And that's a blatant lie, a spell like that depends on the blessing of The Above, and it uses all of your energy regardless.

"If only you didn't destroy the ship then we might have a deal."

He knows what I'm coming here for? and what does he mean? "Why?" I said as I pretended to act normal.

"We could use that ship to bring the Nythern, but you destroyed it. Now that we don't have a ship to bring the beast with us to Bornes, I don't see the case of why we should help you."

I always forget that rich people are rich because they're slimy, I'm giving up.

I just leave the room and go to the food court because I'm craving food, but no one is there, I'll just sleep.

What a waste of fucking time, I'll kill them knock-off dragons myself.
