Chapter 1:

Beyond the Threshold

Beyond the Blue Light

I sit silently on the balcony, watching the setting sun as the sounds of birds flapping their wings and chattering echo around me. The light breeze sends shivers down my bare arms. I pull the blanket tighter around my shoulders.

Have I just woken up, or have I always been awake? I'm not sure, but moments ago it felt like I was in a completely different place. The slight trembling in my arms felt like more than just a physical sensation, as if something had shifted inside me. The warmth of the blanket, however, seemed to cool me from the inside in a way I hadn't felt before.

Something felt different, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. My face felt like a stiff mask and the outside world like an airless void. Despite my unease, I didn't want to move. The black strands of my short hair fluttered in the wind, gently brushing against my face.

I pull my feet back and slowly lean my head back on the comfortable chair I'm sitting in. It's at this moment that I suddenly can't breathe. My heart races as if it's about to burst out of my chest. What is my body reacting to in this peaceful and serene environment, I wonder?

Leaning against the black balcony railing for support, I gaze at the sunset and the sea in front of me. The sound of my heartbeat is now loud in my ears. Hoping for peace, I close my eyes. But when I closed them, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I could feel my hands gripping the cold bars, but instead of the darkness I expected, there was a blue light. My eyes stung from the brightness, but I couldn't understand how such a light could exist.

Uncertain of what my body would do next, I stood there, confused, with my eyes closed. Gradually the intensity of the light seemed to decrease. It was as if my eyes were adapting to it. I began to see the outline of a black circle. I gripped the bars tightly with my hands. Was something wrong with me? Was I losing my mind? Or was this a dream?

I was aware of the coldness of tears on my face, yet I was unable to comprehend the reason for my tears. How could I perceive this phenomenon with my eyes closed? As my vision became clearer, I observed something even more astonishing. I was on a spaceship and I was completely alone. Panic overwhelmed me as I opened my eyes wide. It was pitch black around me. My legs trembled. I hastily reached for my mobile phone on the table next to the chair and swiftly unlocked the screen. As I became aware that I was unable to breathe, I collapsed to the ground. I gasped for air in short, jagged breaths, yet I felt no pain. Tears streamed from my eyes, but I was not sad or happy. I was scared, but not of what had happened, but of what could happen.

I opened my phone, but I was unsure of what to do. Should I call the hospital or urgently inform my family to return home? I was reluctant to worry my family, but I also lacked the information to make an informed decision. With each blink, I observed the blue light.I sat on the wooden floor, my back against the wall, and placed the phone between my legs. I held my head and hair with both hands.

I was experiencing a sense of breathlessness, as though I were gasping for air, and my emotions were becoming increasingly distressed. Despite the darkness that had enveloped the room, it had become a terrifying place. I leaned my head against the wall and looked up. As I relaxed, my heartbeat began to return to normal. My throat felt dry from rapid breathing. I swallowed hard. I considered screaming, but I lacked the strength to do so. As my eyes darted around, the only thing I could think about was what to do with my eyes. When I relaxed, I found myself feeling a little calmer. I considered my fear and panic, about what I had seen. And I felt something more dominant. I felt curiosity. I was curious about what was happening there. There was nothing in what I saw that would harm me. On the contrary, there was something magnificent, a technological marvel.

I desired to observe the phenomenon once more. However, I was unable to close my eyes.As I gazed at the ceiling, preparing to close my eyes, I was drawn to this sense of emptiness and loneliness within me. I was experiencing a form of madness.I clasped my hands together, lowered my head, and took a deep breath.

Here we go.

I slowly closed my eyes. And as I did, I found myself back where I had been just moments before. An incredible technology and uncertainty. Ahead of me, the vibrating waves echoed around the iron bars.
Moments ago, I was seated with my eyes open. At that moment, I tilted my head down. I emitted a small scream and exhibited signs of panic as I pressed against the wall even more. There were blue lines around my body. The most alarming phenomenon was a capsule that was shining, vibrating, and emitting blue light in the center of my chest.I had become robotic, or something akin to it.

I stood up weakly. I was still in a state of shock as a result of the situation with my body and other factors. I was no longer plagued by feelings of loneliness and emptiness.I looked to my right and left. The path continued with iron bars. I decided to go left and attempted to walk. I felt incredibly light. As soon as I took the first step, I was thrown forward with great force. Reflexively, I grabbed the bars with both hands. I managed to remain upright with great difficulty. I continued to walk, holding onto the bars. My eyes drifted to the blue light vibrating around the circle. As I breathed rapidly, my mind was filled with a thousand thoughts, each scenario adding to my tension. I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. I needed more information to understand what was going on here. I held onto the iron bars tightly.I commenced to take measured steps. Each step imparted a sense of lightness and served to remind me of my extraordinary situation.

With trembling hands, I observed my surroundings. The blue light enveloped every corner of the room, yet I discerned something becoming clearer in the distance. I intensified my pace to gain a more comprehensive view.

With resolve, I approached the circle. The blue light around me responded with a series of reactions enveloping my body. The sensation of lightness within me increased, and my body felt as if it were in a stream of energy. I was motivated to reach for the light, but I was afraid. I wanted it, but I did not know what it was. I slowly reached out towards the light. When the tips of my fingers met the waves of light vibrating around the blue light, an unexpected sensation arose. As my fingers penetrated the energy field around the light, a tingling sensation spread through my body. At the same time, my eyes began to fill with light as if every cell in my body were being reborn within the blue light.

Taking a deep breath, I focused on experiencing this new sensation. As my fingers delved into the energy field surrounding the light, I felt a tingling sensation spread through my body. At the same time, my eyes began to fill with light as if every cell in my body were being reborn within the blue light. After an indeterminate amount of time, I began to feel my existence again. My body, my emotions, my consciousness were returning, but in a different way, transformed. I was in a place beyond the concepts of time and space. Perhaps in the depths of the universe, within a greater reality of consciousness and existence. Here, not only physical beings but also thoughts, emotions, and energies converged.

In this reality, I understood that everything was interconnected and that everything had meaning. Perhaps this journey was an experience that allowed me to become aware of the deeper connections within myself and the universe.

Perhaps this journey was not only about opening a door to reality beyond the physical world, but also about inner exploration and transformation. Perhaps reality was to be discovered not only in the outer world but also within ourselves, an endless adventure waiting to be explored. And what I was doing was nothing more than a magnificent dance of desires and fears.I couldn't breathe, but I wasn't afraid. In the darkness of space, where I saw only the lights of the stars, I was in a place where there was no consciousness.

I began to laugh madly. There was no sound because there was no air, but I felt it inside. I closed my eyes peacefully.

When I came to, I was back in the chair I had first sat in. The covers had fallen to the floor and my body was shivering with cold. The sun was just setting. I picked up the blanket and wrapped it around my shoulders. I stood up and began to watch the sunset from the balcony.Maybe this was just the beginning. Maybe this was the first step in exploring the infinite mysteries of the universe.

By the way, why had I come to the balcony and for what?
