Cousins

"Yes. She is my cousin. Why do you ask?", she replied.

The class exploded with curiosity. They gathered up around her to ask her questions and were very eager.

"How is she like in person?"

"Do you guys talk often?"

"Are you two friends?"

"Sorry guys I need a quick bathroom break.", she said, before going out to the hallway, clenching her teeth.

"I hate it... I hate it... I hate it... I hate it...", she thought, as she went to the bathroom.

Inside one of the toilet stalls, she just sat there, putting both her hands to her foreheads, "That girl is out here trying to make my life more miserable, as if it wasn't enough..."

In Ayane's new classroom, something similar happened.

"Oi Masato, are you free today."

"Nope, have football practice."

"Bro u already pull all of the girls. Who are you trying to impress? Literally all the girls sees u as their type."

"Well, they are out of my league."

Masato was having his daily usual egoistic chatter. And being the most popular guy, nobody questioned it, even though some of them secretly hated it. Until the homeroom teacher came, finished his talks and introduced Ayane to the class.

"Before ending today's lecture, we have a new transfer student. Ayane, you can come in."

The whole class was filled with curiosity. But Masato didn't care. He thought the girl to be another random girl, out of his league.

"Good morning, I am Ayane Nao. I hope you guys will treat me nicely here."

Spoiler: They didn't.

The classroom erupted in amazement. It was the Ayane Nao! Who thought she would transfer to their school? Unfortunately, she was little at that time and didn't know how badly reputation can affect one's social life. Before, didn't know the reason why actors would hide themselves from the media, but after, she knew why.

As soon as Masato saw her, his ego kicked in. She was beautiful, looked cute, and was more importantly, famous. She had a reputation, which appealed to his egoistic mind.

"I am gonna make her my girlfriend.", he wispered to his friend beside him. Although in their mind, they knew she would probably reject him, he had to play along. Which is true, a national talent versus a semi-popular boy in the school has a lot of gap. But Masato's clouded personality couldn't fathom that idea. In his head, he was sure that she would agree.

In the meantime, the teacher found an empty seat for Ayane to sit. It was on the far right of Masato's table, so he couldn't talk with her during class.

Ayane was trying to fit in, chitchatting with her fellow classmates and not trying go get overwhelmed with questions. She was doing pretty well socializing... Until lunch break started.

As she opened her beautiful bento box and cute pink chopsticks, Masato came over, grinning and such and slammed his hand to her table, which surprised her for a moment.

"Come visit me behind school campus after class.", he said with an ordering tone.

"Huh?"
