Chapter 53:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
Ayane, confused and frustrated, went to the washroom to clean herself.
"Its sticky... ew..."
The juice wetted a little bit of her uniform which she had to clean off. Not to mention the juice that fell on her head too.
"Why are they acting like this?", she wondered.
As she washed her hands, cleaning and drying herself, the warning bell rang, indicating that there was only five minutes left for the afternoon class to start.
"I guess this is enough time.", she thought, as she felt the nature's call.
She went to a stall and sat down. Minding her own business, she heard footsteps from outside coming at her direction. But she paid no heed to it...
Until that student locked up her stall from the outside and left the scene, laughing out loud.
"Hey! I am still here!", Ayane shouted. But she got no reply. She knocked on the door, but it was to no avail.
"W-what is happening? I don't understand...", she said.
After knocking on the door and crying out loud for about ten minutes, nothing happened. She sat down, giving up. The first period of the afternoon class has already started, and she didn't know what to do.
She waited and waited for someone to arrive that she could seek help from, but there was none. She had no luck. She was panicking as the first period was about to end too.
At last, she heared footsteps. She knocked on the door so hard that her hands hurt. The student was a girl from the neighbouring section of her class, Maya. She got afraid hearing the loud knocking.
"Help me! Im locked here!", Ayane shouted.
Maya rushed to her aid and opened the door hearing her cry for help.
"Eh?! You are Ayane-chan, form the neighbouring class, aren't you?"
"Yes. And you might be..."
"Maya."
"Sorry I didn't know that."
"No no. Its no big deal. You are famous so I knew. But how did you get locked up here?"
"Someone locked up my stall."
"I see. But you must hurry now. The first class is about to end soon."
"Okay. Thanks Maya!"
"Welcome! Hope we meet again!"
"Sure!", she left with a smile.
She hurried to her class. She was anxious. What would she say when the teacher asks where I was? She shrug those thoughts off and decided to tell the truth as she opened the door.
But she didn't have to do that. Her reason was already decided by the students of her class.
Opening the door, she was greeted not only by her class teacher but also her homeroom teacher too, who had a dissatisfied and disappointed look on her face.
"Ayane Nao... where were you all this time?", she asked.
Ayane was confused. What was happening?
