Lesson Learned

       I also bought a wrapping paper, and with that I have everything needed. There is one
detail I haven't thought through. That would be when I will give it to her. It should be today, 

I obviously don't have the guts to go to their house and bother on this day, but it looks like 
I won't even have the time to do that. It seems my parents would like to change it up a bit
this year and do a bit more in spending time together this year. Again, not surprising that
they approach some things differently now. I feel like we are getting more on the usual tracks.
They act like before and aren't so gloomy. It's good to see it.

       I’ll probably have to give it to her when we get back to school. Not only that I don't want to annoy her family, but I don't yearn to see them after what she told me. And also I don't feel like going anywhere at all.

       As I thought about it the past few days, I realized that she was right about how presents work. She knows what she’s getting, and it will be late. It's not a Christmas gift but a regular gift. Maybe not even that. Some could say it's just like she ordered it online and now she is waiting for it to arrive.

       I shouldn't think about it that way. For the first time, I wanted to be 100% sure it would be something nice, so no other way than to buy it with her. Next time, if there will be one (hopefully), I'll be able to pick something appropriate myself for the surprise effect.
Waait, that reminded me I never asked when her birthday is.
