Chapter 65:

Thats the class rep for you.

The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter

"As you guys know, the date of the cultural festival has been announced, its about ten days from today.", the class rep of Ayane's class, Mizuki pressed her hands on the table, standing on the mini stage. Chatter filled the room with excitement.

"What will we be doing this time? Im excited.", some voice and other similar voices filled the classroom.

"But-", she slapped the blackboard behind her to draw attention. "This time, its a bit different-", she paused for a moment, leaving the classmates in a state of curiosity. "The student council has decided for a lottery system this time around. They already assigned what each class will be doing a few days back.", she paused again. The chatter seemed to calm down, losing its curiosity knowing that they couldn't get to make the decision themselves.

"But there's nothing to worry. I was, along with other class reps, present when the lottery was pulled. The council president himself gave us the honour to pull our own lottery.", she tried to create enthusiasm inside them, but it seemed to have failed. She grinned, contrary to the lack of excitement that surrounded her.

"But fear not-", she added. "I got lucky-", curiosity grew again. They were eager to hear what they got to their names. If its good, at least they will be happy. But she didn't say anything.

"Mizuki-san has the talent of a leader, that for sure. Maybe she will be a politician? A leader? Or maybe a CEO?", our moon haired child actress complimented her in her mind, in the midst of her speech. The delicate muscles in her face unintentionally made her smile.

Hanabi, Myako and Fuyuki seemed unusually depressed today. Ayane probably knew why. Well it was obvious, for Ayane, but not for others.

The class rep Mizuki remained silent after saying her last words. Turning her back to the class, she faced the blackboard. Her brownish hair swayed with her movements, along with her ribbon accessory that was tied with her hair. It seemed like she magically made a chalk appear in her hand, which was probably not the case, and started writing something.

After she had written what their class was doing, she looked back. It was silence, silence before the storm, before the storm that hit hard.

"That means we will have the school auditorium all to ourselves.", Mizuki broke the silence.

"Eh?! Really!?"

"Nice!!", joy filled the classroom.

"This will be fun.", one of them exclaimed.

The thing that their class will be doing would require less physical effort, but it was not boring at all.

"Its not all nice though-", Mizuki interrupted, "We only have ten days. These things need at least two weeks to prepare. So we need to be quick to take actions. I need everyone's help. No slacking accepted.", she strengthened her tone.

She united everyone and also filled enthusiasm in them. Thats the class rep for you.
