Chapter 75:

But that was a compliment...

The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter

"I-its nothing...", he looked away. She looked at him in confusion, thinking what it might be. "Its just that... your dancing and singing skills are... marvellous, I think."

"...", blood again rushed to her face. She didn't cool off enough for another embarrassing blow to her emotions. "... y-you saw...?"

"Y-Yeah... kind of.", he scratched his head anxiously.

"F-For how long...?"

"About h-halfway... I-I guess..."

His reply made her dizzy. Everything spun around in her mind. She wanted to disappear from this world. Kanako grabbed her by her waist as she was about to fall from dizziness.

"Are you okay?!", he asked in a worrying voice.

One of Ayane's hand ominously stood up, and grabbed Kanako by his collar. She instantly pulled her face close to his, while he was holding her by the waist.

"Listen Kanako-kun! I want you to delete that memory from your mind! Give me your brain!", her tone was sharp, her face was red and she was making a difficult face, hard to read her expression.

"Ayane-chan! Please calm down!", he insisted. She pouted, knowing she couldn't do anything about it. "Sorry, Ayane-chan. I shouldn't have seen that."

"Why are you apologising for?", she looked away, her face red and pouted. "It's my fault for dancing in the hallway." Silence grew between them for a moment.

"But that was a compliment, Ayane-chan.", he added. "Your skills are really incredible. It was stunningly beautiful!"

She was still looking away, hiding her severe blush from getting revealed. She desperately wanted to cool off. Staying with him for long times made her heart unsteady, it made a tickling sensation inside her, but she didn't know what that was.

"...Okay", was the only words she could think of in her clouded mind.
