Chess with a cute tsundere

"Johan? What's this?" Nina asked.

"It's a chess set. Ever played chess before?" I asked.

Nina shook her head no, prompting me to explain the rules.

"Huh? Why're you teaching me chess?"

"Because I want to play you. Believe it or not, I did play chess back in the day."

"Really?"

"Yes. Now how about you play as white."

Nina nodded and moved her pawn to e4.

"Yes, just like that," I nodded as I moved his pawn to e6.

"Think you forgot to move it a space," Nina stated as she moved her knight to c3.

"No, it was as intended," I clarified as I moved my bishop to c5.

Nina pouted and moved her bishop to c4 as I moved my queen to h4. "Huh!? Why's that queen out? Well, never mind, the knight can capture it, right?" Nina grinned as she moved her knight to f3.

"Yes, if I don't move my queen. Sorry Nina, but this is checkmate," I stated as I captured the pawn at f2 with my queen, winning the game.

Nina stared in shock with her mouth hung open before her face turned completely red. "BAKA! BAKA!" she shouted before diving under the covers of the futon and throwing a cute tantrum.

"Well, I'm sure she'll calm down, but even her tantrum is cute," I smiled.
