Chapter 8:

A villainess grievous wish

As I walked down the hallway, a familiar black cat blocks my path, its amythest eyes fixed intently on me. "We meet again, Clementine," the cat spoke, effortlessly leaping onto the balustrade.

I rolled my eyes "What now?"I asked before attempting to pass by the cat.

"I heard you want to cut off your engagement with Eriol? Did you decide to marry me instead?"he asked jokingly with a smirk

But I ignored him and walked passed him

As a massive plume of smoke enveloped the area, the playful cat transformed into its original form - Elric.

. "Something's bothering you," he said in a serious tone "If you tell me, I might be able to help." With a touch of mockery in his voice, I retorted,

"You're not even reliable! You're like a clown! Your existence is a whole joke." I said pointing at him

Feeling irritated, I turned and walked away, expressing my lack of interest in dealing with him at the moment.

But I stopped my track and stared on the ground

"If your wife suddenly were to fall ill and become seriously ill, would you consider bringing another woman into the picture?" I asked and turn around, looking him straight in the eyes. Elric briefly paused before responding with a sly smile

"It depends." His short answer only served to further aggravate me, and I clenched my fists in annoyance.

"Magic exists to alter things, yet it's powerless against fate"

I couldn't contain my emotions as a surge of hot tears rushed to my eyes. "So you're not going to do anything to save her?" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with frustration. Elric seemed taken aback by my unexpected response.

"I'll ask the same question to you,if you have the power to save someone ..will you do so?

"I ..I don't know "Elric's words echoed in my mind, and a shiver ran down my spine.

"If you have the power to do something to prevent someone's death of someone you love and you choose not to, isn't that tantamount to betrayal?"

As elrica words echoed in my mind, a flood of intense emotions washed over me.

In a horrifying flash, the image appeared vividly before my eyes - the tranquil pool now tainted with a deep, crimson stain, and Lori's lifeless body..With a sickly sweet, metallic scent hung heavily in the air

It was as if my head had been plunged into icy waters, drowning me in thoughts of Lori's death was utterly suffocating, making it increasingly difficult for me to think or focus on anything else.

I gasped for air, my heart pounding in my chest,

“that metallic scent….its blood”

"If you ever get sick, “elric whispered

His voice cut through the chilling haze of my thoughts, snapping me back to reality.

"I promise I won't bring another woman.”

“ if you chose to marry me of coruse” A mix of emotions washed over me as he spoke, and I struggled to find the right words to respond.

the weight of my memories momentarily lifted by the sound of his voice.

This isn’t about me …

"I'll even steal the fabled nightshade for you," Elric declared with a hint of playfulness. "Nightshade " I asked, piqued by his sudden reference to the mysterious flower. His expression changed to a mischievous smile, as if he relished in having my undivided attention. "Oh, so now you're curious, are you?" he teased.

"The Nightshade flower is truly a unique and mesmerizing flower," he began. "It derives its existence from the light magic, and its petals only unfurl in the embrace of the evening." Elric continued,

"A flower that has the extraordinary ability to cure illnesses, as its petals infused with the essence of light magic"

The thought of the Nightshade's power filled me with a sense of hope. Despite the doubts I harbored towards Elric, I couldn't allow Catherine's illness to persist any further.

"I will do whatever it takes to get my hands on the Nightshade," I declared,. "I'll be able to save her that way

Elric is someone I cant trust but I couldn't allow Catherine's illness to persist any further. Even if its only 1%

Seeing the eagerness in my eyes, Elric smirked slyly. "You want more information?" he said, his words laced with a hint of challenge. "I won't divulge such vital information without some form of compensation." He paused, his gaze locked onto mine. "How about a kiss in exchange?”

Elric abruptly seized my hands, drawing me closer to him and encircling my waist with his strong arm. The sudden movement caught me off guard, and I found myself pressed against his chest.

In a swift and instinctual move, I seized his arm and forcefully propelled him to the ground.

Oddly, not a single trace of anger or frustration creased his features. Instead, his expression remained utterly blank, like an emotionless mask. In a mystifying twist, he suddenly transformed back into his cat form

Landing on the balustrade, the cat settled comfortably on the edge, his amethyst eyes watching me intently. "I'll wait for your response,"

The only thing that in my mind is how I can get my hands on that flower. The only way was clear to me - I had to sneak out of the castle unnoticed.

I couldn't involve anyone else, and I had to tread carefully to avoid being caught. "I have to find a way to escape the castle without being detected," I muttered to myself, my mind already working to devise a strategy. "But how?"

I have to set aside my plan to make the queen fill the make with water is my top priorty.its the only posible thing that i think link between this world and mine

im order to make eriol agree with the cut off engagement.i must win him over as well

''this could get you in deep. Trouble lady clementine''radia said as she helped ne butonnee my shirt

I carefully planned out my first move. That is to disguise as a noble man and would use the opportunity to escape from the palace.

"must see what the.communers are enaduring...to become a sage princess''i

" Eriol had not yet formally called off our engagement that made me a princess "I liedI" meant his engagement to Clementine, really.''i arded

"Your intentions are indeed admirable," Radia said worriedly as she wrapped a black cloak around me. "But I can't allow you to do this. It's too dangerous." I stride towards the mirror, taking a moment to gaze at my reflection.

A sly smile plays upon my lips. "No one will ever recognize me," I whispered to myself, admiring my transformed appearance. I was now clad in black pants, a dress shirt, and a tie, all topped off with a long black blazer.

"By the way, where did you manage to find these clothes?"

"I borrowed them from Prince Rigel's wardrobe. He wasn't using them, so he kindly lent them to you." "Wait, really?" I exclaimed in wonderment. Radia continued, "If I requested men's clothing from the palace maids, considering I'm your personal maid, they might grow suspicious,

"I can't believe you managed to convince that brat," I expressed in surprise, my expression reflecting my amazement as I looked at Radia. "Prince Randy said 'anything for my big sister,' and he quickly darted away," Raifa explained.

Suddenly I remenered, in the original timeline, it was indeed Radia who had a fight with Rigel thinking he was spying on her , leading to the formation of their bond and the beginning of Rigel addressing Raida as his sister. However, now in this timeline, it seemed that Rigel was calling me his sister.

It certainly appeared so. The altered sequence of events in Rigel's route sugge

sts that I had somehow influenced a significant moment, leading to a change in the timeline.
