The Discovery of Ronove that changed the world

Imagine a world where humanity no longer has an energy issue, such a world became true for us on that day, July 20th 1969.

When this rock was bought back to earth the very next day, it was discovered to have magical properties beyond anything we could ever comprehend. 
Ronove Russo, one of the lead scientist for the research team into the new rock discovered something Amazing.
By inserting the rock into any object manmade or organic, it could generate one of 5 type of elemental energy. 
Flame
Aqua
Nature
Aero
Lightning.

These elements while similar to the elements found on earth, are of a higher quality and could be produced almost infinitely.
A flame rock produces Fire & Heat.
Aero produced pure air energy along with any type of gas known to man.
Nature produces the earth we stand on and every known plant.
Aqua created water that is pure.
Lastly lightning being the category used to decribe both electrical and light energy.
Soon the rock which came to be called Ronove, named after Ronove Russo.
It's discovery and the results of the tests it went through was made public just months later. 
At first humanity was overjoyed, the solution for our idealized society was within our grasp, and it would have been achieved if humanity had worked together.

 However humanity was not that simple and idealistic, soon discord started to brew in every country.
The Existance of Ronove meant they could become self producing and self sufficient.
They no longer had to rely on foreign aid,even the poor countries could become independant. Soon, every country started to become paranoid and started to hoard Ronove. It only got worse when it was discovered Ronove could be used to make arms weapon.
It soon became an arms and energy race over which country had more Ronove.
While the discovery of Ronove was announced with intention of solving the world's issues, it only widened the gap between the social economical class and the racial tension.
Soon, wars both civil and international became the norm and lasted for months.
It was a common occurrence, there was no longer any peace and everyone was involved in some form of conflict.
Governments started to control their populance with harsh measures.
Civilians started to rise up in response to the tyranny, creating a vicious cycle. 
Countries started to go to war for land now that they had powerful resources to do so.
Others also had the idea to conquer to take over their neighbours to become more powerful.
The power hungry people awoken their full desires while the opressed had to fight just to survive.

 Many people died and the world headed down a dark path.
 On one fatefuly day, the entire city of rome who were the forefront of Ronove innovation magically vanished one day.
There was nothing left and the city became barren.
There were no longer any signs that people ever lived in the city beside the buildings they had made. 
This incident was called A Nova Collapse. 
No one knew how excatly it happened or why but more reports of entire cities of people vanishing without a trace started to popped up. 
The only thing these cities had in common was that they were reports of heavy misuse of Ronove.
All the cities where a Nova Collapse occured also had the similarity of ONLY the people vanished without a trace and nothing else. 
It was like Karmic retribution. 
It was as if God was punishing humanity for stepping into its domain.
Unfortunately, all these incidents did nothing to stop the conflicts.
If anything, it escalated the conflicts to greater heights.
No country knew when they were gonna disappear , so as if it was an act of rebellion started to kill even more people.

 Then came the silver lining, a company that went by the name of the Russo Family popped up.
The very same Russo that Ronove Russo came from.
They claim to hail from Rome and survived the Nova Collapse,and they paraded themselves as the saviors of humanity.
They said humanity would be united under their sole rule and conflicts would no longer exist.
Over the next 30 years, this boast slowly became a reality.
They became the sole ruling entity on planet earth.
Sure on the surface you still have companies like cola cola and countries like the US still existed but they only existed because the Russo family allowed them to.
All companies and countries exist only to serve the Russo family.
They were nothing but extension of the Russo family grip on the world.
While it may seem like an absurd dream, it was the reality of our world now.
Wars and conflict stopped, people no longer fought.
 Humanity was at peace and we were slowly recovering from its near extinction.
On December 24th christmas eve in the year 1999 , the Russo family announced to the world they will be holding a special event for the world populace at large.
It would be called the Russo Wars.
Competitions were held across the world in designated cities.
7 winner from across the world would be chosen to come to Rome for a final competition.
The winner's any desire could be granted, as well as be given a chance to rule the world along with the Father of the Russo family. 

This was the history now taught 86 years later in schools across the world.
Schools and children alike were taught about the dark history and how the Russo family were the savior that saved the world.
It was no different for this school in Shanghai.
Tho it's called a school, it was really an orphanage of kids who lost their parents that is backed by the Russo family.
Despite the peace, Orphaned kids were sadly still a common occurance in the current world.
The Russo family would pick up these kids and send them to desginated orphanages across the world.
In this orphanage, there was a bright young kid nicknamed Ri-chan.
 They were a bright young kid whose dream was to take part in a Russo war and serve the Russo family.
He would then use the wish to save his fellow kids in the orphanage from poverty.
The orphanage was small, and only housed 9 kids excluding the staff.
In a strage twist of concidence, all of them had names beginning with R.
Prephas it was because of this concidence, that the kids were closer with each other than normal families.
They would frequently get into trouble in the orphanage and everyone in the city knew of these trouble making kids.
That was until that fateful day when like what happened in the city of rome, everyone in Shanghai vanished in a Nova Collapse.
The orphanage caretakers, the fruit seller they used to steal from, all gone.
It was a twisted punishment bought on to innocent kids.
The kids then became known as the R9 Younglings.
People started to gossip about how they caused the Nova Collapse.
They were presecuted and had nowhere to go as no one wanted to have anything to do with them.
Soon, for better or for worse, the 9 kids were adopted by various people across the world.
These people were arranged to be caretakers of the kids by the Russo Family, however it is recorded only 7 of those kids got adopted.
It is still unknown what happened to the last of the 2 kids.

And so, on the 10th Russo wars game held 14 years later, the fate of the world would change on that day forever.
Humanity was freed from the rule of the Russo and the devil rock known as Ronove.
The winner of 10th Russo war, the very same Ri chan from the R9 Younglings was the one to end it all.
