The Hoshinauts

The hoshinauts are our brave teenage girls in space, paving the way towards a glorious destiny among the stars. This is the story of one such crew, fighting to survive in orbit around Earth. The eyes of the world are upon them as they go about their daily lives, a beacon of hope for the future.

After centuries of war between the Soviet Expedition and the ‘Murican Empire,
peace has returned to Earth. With the planet scarred and dying, its nations have turned inward, focusing on maintaining their dwindling populations.

But one minor country, the Weeaboo Federation, is reaching for the stars. Not satisfied that geoengineering efforts will undo the damage of the war, it has decided humanity must return to space and colonize other planets.

But they need short, light pilots. And thus, the hoshinaut program was created. If the Weeaboo Federation has learned anything from anime, it’s that cute girls are capable of performing any task.

What could possibly go wrong?
