once - the world sighed, and my footsteps sounded out like water

the world is disappearing.

the future has always taken it away from us. you and i both know that.
but now?

'Rivers' flow, the lights that replace the world with days that are far yet-to-come. the only word for it is 'disaster', and yet, the present slips away so peacefully.
so painfully.

a young witness stays in the pockets of 'now' that remain, watching helplessly as the journey and the destination are smashed together.
trapped between two currents, a decision is forced upon a student in tokyo.

already, he's made his choice...
whatever the Rivers reveal to him, he will remember.
he has to.
