10 years ago a once in a lifetime event occurred, a comet called Lovesong which only comes around every 100 years hurtled toward Erd. There was a superstition that if you prayed to it that you would find your soulmate. At the last second the comet changed trajectory and zoomed horizontally across the planet. At the exact moment the comet passed through, a boy named Chinko was praying to it. In the comet’s trail he saw a beautiful girl on her knees, in a garden, praying like he was; they both looked up, their eyes met. It was love at first sight and then the comet was gone and so was she.
In present day, Chinko Teague and his sister, Arasa, set out on a journey to find that girl.

(7/9) I'm a theatre nerd. I was also a bit of a music theory and choir nerd as well. In college I wrote a lot of music (over 200 somehow), mostly showtunes. Since college I've written like 3 and I do find myself starting to miss it, but all that knowledge and drive has gotten away from me. Regardless, at some point I decided this story was going to be a musical. It just kind of happened. The energy of all the characters (aside from Arasa) just made me think they should be singing.
I'll leave it up to you what the music sounds like. There are times where I have an original tune and others where I'm borrowing one from something preexisting, and yet other times where I've got nothing, and I may not always say which one it is, so It's up to you.
