In Sapporo, Japan, two high school students diagnosed with depression attempt to get along through their uniquely unfortunate circumstances. Chamaru Vieira and Yoru Ringomori go on adventures and create special traditions to cure their depression and find meaning in life without adult guidance. As they do so, Chamaru discovers that his relationship with Yoru had been different to what he thought, and the only way to connect all the dots is through her love for apples. However, it's not just him that will have to remember.
