Conan wants to sleep through his last year of high school, and land directly into adulthood. He has the brains, the looks and the drive to succeed. Thinks he’d excel in that not-so far-off world. And he does not need love weighing him down, when all he wants is to jump high.
But a floating mattress torpedoes through his plans: Sassara. Who’s eyes and smile uncover problems he dumped deep down.
But those are teenager issues you see? He was too old to care about Dad failing him, him failing Dad, distant Mom, problematic siblings and friends.
“To each his own boat, and to each his own boat leaks,” he rows on.
But he still yearns for Sassara. For the sake of their future, and not knowing what lies down that great maelstrom, he jumps.
And hopes he can make it out alive.

I love these characters. And I wish I could have made the story longer so I could spend more time with them, show you more of their adventures.
But for some time, I remained stuck in a loop where I'd plan, doubt my story, and not write. I did smack my butt out of that cycle, but you gotta do with what you have.
