From the very beginning I felt drawn into the story. The author does a very good job of describing the world of Neko Nuke Nightmare in a way that makes it feel like a real place. I enjoyed all the banter between Sprout and the other nekomimi characters. This would have earned a 5 star review but for one thing. The ending felt very rushed. The last two chapters were not written at the same pace as the rest of the book, and they felt a little bit lacking when compared to how good the rest of the book was. I think in the future it would be worth extending the story just slightly and maybe talking a bit more about what happens to Sprout. Does she decide to stay in the village? Or does she definitively decide to get revenge on those that killed her friends? I would really like to know at least a bit more in which direction she chooses to go as a human or a cat.
