It's the most exciting time of year when members of countries all over the world set off to a man-made island arena to compete in the yearly Gear Up! Games. It's the game of peace! Unprecedented renown has been afforded to all lands by these Games. Despite the fanfare, Eligh Persil is plagued by the guilt of his brother, Oliver (Olly)'s, leaving home. It's for this reason that Eligh takes on the Games with the wind at his back. He knows if there is any place to mend his and Olly's broken connection, it's at the Games. As if this isn't hard enough, Eligh finds that something... weird is happening behind the scenes, that might threaten the peace as they've come to know it. Stumbling through the Games' four Phases with the girl of his dreams, Mara Ono, surprisingly at his side, Eligh will find himself entangled in a web of wild people and curiosities.
