The world is on fire. Flames consume any and all that dare to step out onto the surface. After Y2K, devices around the world began to emit harmful chemicals and doomed the Earth's atmosphere. Now, vulnerable to the harshest strengths of the Sun, the year is 2062. Although humanity is still playing catch-up to get back to their surface-dwelling days, they have learned to thrive in the planet's crevices, caves, and even the ocean. Technologies have been developed to temporarily combat the dangers of the surface including the heat, and any other monstrous creatures forced to evolve.
