By the end of the novel, the rich have been eaten. The book while focuses on the class struggle between the royals and the peasants and how the breaking of rules ultimately leads to a change in power. It is a reminder that laws often tend to favor those in power. In addition, injustice in this book also breeds hatred and that all people should be judged by where they are born rather than on merit.
Some chapters of the book felt too fast-paced especially when several events took place. I think it would have been better if the chapters had been broken down and enough time given to the various events. For instance, the death of Buckle and the arrest of Tum could have been given more time.
In the end, it was a worthwhile read
