I enjoyed reading this novel. The world in this novel is both dystopian and utopian. It raises moral and ethical questions of how far you would go to protect your family even if they were gone and beyond the point of being saved. It also focuses on politics that often surrounds the community where the upper ups break the rules.
The book left us at a cliffhanger which is something I didn't like. The author focused more on the world building and to some extent neglected to give us more information about the characters and their life before the apocalypse. I would love for this book to have a sequel. I didn't like that I was left with more questions than answers. But it's a good read
